Utapau was just as flat, dry and hot as you remembered. Its never ending horizon extending into the distance across the planets flat, desert covered surface. Tech piloted you towards an abandoned sinkhole near the outer skirts of a city called Terra which of course was in a sinkhole of its own. This planet used to be the home of an expansive ocean which has long since dried up and left only these deep sinkholes connecting the inhabitants to the life giving water under the earths crust.

The last time you were here was for a smaller mission to find a Varactyle that had escaped its farmers ranch and bring it back safely. It had been a mission you and Wrecker had gone on, with Omega secretly hiding inside Wreckers backpack. Now as you flew in you remembered the enjoyment you had on that mission, and secretly wondered if you would possibly see Girdy, the Varactyle you had ridden on.

Tech flew over the sinkhole containing the city of Terra and then landed in another sinkhole a short ways over. From above they looked close by, but as you flew down into this hole you knew it would take possibly a day or more just to climb out of this one and reach the surface of Utapau. The sinkholes were filled with flora and small pools from natural springs at the bottom and had many holes and caves along its sides. It was in a large cave opening that Tech carefully flew the Havoc Marauder into and touched down. It was bright and sunny outside, but the cave was shadowed and cool.

It was right about now that you found out the fortifications Tech had been referring too where about the hull of the Marauder itself. When it came to training and battle knowledge the clones were a little rusty, but far from inexperienced. Omega was the only exception to this. The main items Tech intended to prepare where reinforcements to the hull, improvements to the engine and some refinement of how the systems where wired within the ship. Given that they had not been under intense fire or need Tech had allowed the systems to be repaired as the broke, mostly resulting in short-term patch jobs. Now there was a rising necessity to reorganize and properly repair the ship before battle.

Naturally this implied that the fight Rex was hoping for was going to be intense. The commander himself had stated he was planning on a stealth mission to free the imprisoned clones but Hunter had Tech preparing for something more violent. If there was one thing they had run into thus far its that the Empire had an extensive amount of soldiers and did not hesitate to throw those large numbers around in defense of their new buildings. So the improvements were necessary before moving forward, and Tech felt he could finally be undisturbed and assisted in his work unlike his efforts on Pabu.

"I'll commence the reorganization of our internal computer system" Tech commented, already dressing down for the warmer weather of the desert. He had his work pants and tool belt, but opted for the tank top he usually kept in reserve which brought his shoulder tattoos back into the light. Wrecker of course went shirtless shortly after you landed but hadn't stepped outside, and you had been able to acquire a tank top that actually fit you while on Chandrila. Your boots felt stuffy, but you didn't have any other options for walking around outside. Crosshair wore a short sleeved undershirt and all of his lower body armor while also adding tools to his own belt. Evidently, before Echo, Crosshair had been the other main co-pilot.

Hunter and Omega actually had a secondary mission while you were there, which was to travel over to the city of Terra and retrieve materials that could be used to re-enforce the Marauders hull. You helped direct Wrecker as he pulled out the large storage containers from overhead, filled with tools and ship-related materials. Hunter spoke with Tech about the route he and Omega would take to reach Terra. Omega also wore a short sleeve shirt with her backpack and some armor, and Hunter looked almost like a desert mercenary with his shirt and bandanna.
