Chapter one Strange Love

Summary: Two years after the vampires have decided to come out of the coffin the life of a 25 year old waitress Sookie Stackhouse is changed when she meets a 1,000 year old vampire Named Eric Northman he walks in to Merlotte's bar in Bon Temps Louisan. Meanwhile Sookie friend Tara Thornton comes to work at Merlotte's While Sookie Tomcatting her Brother Jason he finds himself on the wrong side of the law.

Chapter one: A collage age couples race down a deserted road , the girl driving finds something to do with her free hand. They pass a sign that says we have Tru blood. "And they stop the car they pull into the store. They get out of the car and walk into the store On the Tv they see a woman representing the American Vampire League defends herself to Bill Maher she says that now that the Japanese have perfected synthetic blood there is no reason to fear them. Then the couple stumbles into the store they are looking around for a vampire. The store cashier pretends to be a vampire scaring the couples away. Once he is revealed to be a human the man says Can I have some V juice. The Good ol boy in the camo at the cooler listens not finding it funny. He walks up carrying a six pack. The kids say Buzz off and Billy Bob makes his case fangs grow suddenly out from his teeth scaring the couples off. The clerk says if you ever pretend to be one of them again, I will kill you. Sookie Stackhouse who is a Telepathic waitress at the Local bar Merlotte's she is serving customers while hearing there inner thoughts of just about everyone in the restaurant. She Involuntary responds to a customer whose though she hears despite him not verbally saying anything freaking the boy out. After that she walks away and is stressed out she takes a moment to herself and relocates herself and finally able to block out the thoughts. While Tara Thornton is bored at work she is occupying herself by reading a book called "The Shock Doctrine" a woman comes and pesters her about an item she figured they would have despite her not knowing the exact name for the thing. Tara then gets agitated with the customer gives her the lip and insults her the customer in disbelief says I want to talk to you Manager. Tara Having had enough gives both of them a piece of her mind and slaps her boss but not before she threatens them I will have my baby daddy beat up the manager for patting her ass. The manager balks at the comment. Tara retorts I don't even have a baby daddy and those people in the store are just pathetic racist. Tara then starts giving Sookie a hard time she starts calling her names and mocking her about her boss Sam Merlottes your Completely in Love with him Sookie says. I'm coming over said Tara. While taking Denise and Mack Rattrays order Sookie couldn't help but read there minds she is discombobulated by what they are thinking Mack was having lusty thoughts about Sookie while Denise ponders weather Sookie was restarted. Sookie Tells Lafayette The sass and flamboyant cook who goes on about her looks enticingly sexual for the night. Asking if she has a date Sookie denies it saying I have get bigger tips when she looks trashy also when im acting dumb. Lafayette disagree that everyone is not afraid of her but instead what is between her legs. Arlene Fowler Goes in and is Pinning a order and she Overhears a conversation and is in shock that Lafayette would know such things. There conversations continues and then Dawn Green joins and she says denies the fact that she wants to have sex with Lafayette. There sexual conversations continues and Sookie is completely freaked out. In the apartment a naked young athletic man names Jason Stackhouse was having sex with a woman named Maudette Picken he notices bites marks on her thighs. She says its just a bug bite at first but then she says that it was from a vampire. I paid her a lot of money to bite me. Jason was now turned off by this he asks is she was a hooker saying I don't pay for sex and I never will. Maudtte says no im not telling him but who would say no to $1,000. Jason was now intrigued at this point and he says that he read somewhere that you should have sex at least once with a vampire. Maudtte said once was enough for me he was to rough but I like it rough sometimes. Jason was in disbelief now and he got dressed and started heading to the door as he was walking out Maudtte said I Video taped it we should watch it. Tara was complaining about her life and She Tara was giving her advice and then Sam came over and started sweet talking Sookie. Until a mysterious man walks into the bar and Sookie eyes are immediately drawn to him identifying him as a vampire. She is surprised that a vampire came into Merlotte's this was the first vampire to come into Merlotte's ever Sookie headed straight for his table. Sookie asked the vampire what he would like he says tru blood and Sookie says they don't have tru blood sense it went previously went bad because no one was ordering it. You are the first vampire to ever come into Merlotte's. The vampire then says Il just order a glass of wine. He has no reason of being here. Then Mack interrupts there conversation she says Sookie You Crazy as a Bed bug. The Rattrays then started to talk to the vampire. Back at the apartment with Maudette and Jason they were watching the Video Jason was disturbed by the Vampire she is having sex with. Seeing his bones bend and him go incredibly fast. Back at the bar Sookie tries to down talk Tara and Sam's discriminating behavior towards the vampire. Sookie goes and checks on them but on her way she overhears Mack and Denise thoughts that they are planning on draining the Vampire that just entered the bar. Sookie went to the vampires table trying to save him asking him to stay but sees and left and runs after him. This then causes Sam to run after Sookie and leaving Tara to watch the bar. She is listeing in on there thoughts following where it is the most loud along the way she picks up a metal chain from the back of the truck for self defense. After watching the vampire sex tape Jason and Maudette both have rougher sex Jason being dominate calling her rough offensive vampire related terms as he got rougher. Outside of the bat The Rattrays were having the vampire pinned to the ground with silver chains and they are draining him. Mack is worried about there timing and how are we going to keep him and use him for are own personal use. They are all obviously very addicted to vampire blood. Pacing worrying they don't notice that Sookie was coming up behind them. Sookie whacks Mack on the arm with the chains she had picked up. After Mack comes with her with a knife she flings the chain and wraps it around his neck choking him and Mack drops the knife. Sookie picks up the knife and exchanged hateful words with Denise saying leave, before Denise leaves she says and tries to threaten her that she gone kill her. Before Sookie gets in the car they try and attempt to run her over but are unsuccessful she gets in the car and drives away. Sookie is surprised that simple silver could potentially harm a vampire at the extent it does. A dog comes up to Sookie an they obviously have a friendly relationship. Sookie exchanges conversation with the vampire before trying to hear his thoughts and failing to do so . She asks why cant I read your thought I can read everyone else's but I cant read yours. She is shocked that she cant read this vampires mind she is taken aback by the sexual nature when there conversation shifts she demands to be spoken to properly. The vampire says do you want to drink my blood you could sell it. No she says. Sookie innocent nature and lack of fear intrigue him. In a somewhat dramatic change of voice he asks what are you. Sookie says I am Sookie im a waitress. Sookie then asks what is your name and the vampire says my name is Eric Northman. Sam was worried about Sookie but was relived to see she was alright as the bar was closing Sam said thanks Tara for helping out. Tara said don't I get paid for the sudden shift. She asks can I work her. Sam replies no she keeps asking him and then Sam eventually says fine you can work here. Sam gives Tara a book of receipes for multiple mixed drinks tara replies iv been making drinks for my alcoholic mother since the first grade. Jason was relieved to see Sookie as he entered the bar he was visibly shaken by something. Tara greets him and she gets no response she says iv been Sookie friend for years and iv lived at her house basically and then Jason acknowledges her. Tara seemed to be having felling about Jason. Jason completely turns his attention away from Tara and when he sees dawn she just getting off work. Jason leaves Tara and runs after dawn. Sookie goes home and tells her gran about the vampire came into the bar . He was nice and handsome and well kept I really liked him. Sookie gives her gran a goodnight kiss and says goodnight. That night she fell asleep and had a dream about her having sex with Eric. The next day Sookie was out on the lawn tanning when her brother Jason stopped by. He started question her about what he overheard about the Rattrays and to be careful and not get mixed up in the vampire. Sookie and Jason were eating lunch that there gran made gran got a phone call from the Sherrif saying that Maudette was strangled in there apartment. She hung the phone up and told Sookie and Jason they were in shock that there was a murder in Bon Temps. Jason was acting strange about it Sookie noticed his strange demeanor tries to listen in on him but he knows what she doing and backs away from her lashing out. Later Jason is sitting in a law chair at work supervising the road crew he is on the phone with dawn making plans to meet up later when two cops pull up and he becomes worried. Sheriff Bud Dearborn and Detective Andy Bellefluer began asking questions about him and Maudette asking how personal there relationship was. Jason said no I didn't have any sort of relationship with her he almost admitted to having sex with her the previous night. At Sookie house her grandma asked Sookie if she could ask the vampire if he would be willing to come talk about the civil war at the meeting of the Descendants of the glorious dead they were a group of ancestors that fought in the civil war. Sookie said she would if he ever came again that she would. At Merlotte's Tara is giving a customer lips when Lafayette tells her Jason was arrested. Dawn tells Sookie that Jason was arrested Sookie was not pleased to be the last one to know that her brother was arrested. Dawn said Sookie I thought you already knew and Sookie angrily said im not psychic and she stormed off. Sookie finds two guys from the road crew and the bar and walks over to them and asks what happened. She then turns around and sees Eric . In her head she hears Tara judge her Sam thinking that she wants to protect her and customers mocking her as she floats over to greet him. He takes her hand and voices go silent. What are you says the vampire. I'm a waitress said Sookie. No the vampire said your something more than that. Can I call on you. Sookie says can I ask a favor of you for my grandmother. Sookie could you come speak at my grandmother meeting of the descendants of the glorious dead meeting talking about civil war she said she would really like it if you came. He scoots closer and she asks if she realizes everyone in here is stating at them. She says she does not care. Im going to make Bon Temps my home said the Vampire. Meet me at dark after work. He walks away and the voices resume. Sam grabs Sookie arm ad takes her to the back room and shouted at her tells her not to be a vigilante. He makes her cry immediately. He immediately feeling remorseful for lashing out at her he comforts her. She hears his loving thoughts about her and then Tara bust in says Thinking about Jason and How he couldn't be a murder. Tara says I'm a grown woman I can make my own decisions. After work at Merlotte's Sookies waits for Eric. She hears a noise in the woods and goes to investigate and it's the Rattrays. They knock her down and start kicking her violently and she lays there bleeding on the ground helplessly and all bloody.
