Christie saw the anger slowly fade. Little by little bit faded. To where the anger went she didn't know, she didn't think Jonah knew either.

Jonah stopped staring back at Christie, and slowly stood. Jonah stared at the cement wall above Christies head. His eyes slowly slid down to the heart slowly leaking blood into Christies lap. He turned slowly to the side, and slid down the now empty wall next to Christie, a pale white staring at the heart in her lap. Jonah let a small, warm, single tear slid down his cheek and scream. Not a silent scream like Christie, it was loud, deep, and seemed to last forever. After awhile the scream seemed to get stuck in his throat as it tried to come out. Christie looked at him and saw not anger and hate, but loneness and pain.

Christie took her chance and scooted towards Jonah and lightly touched his knee. This little bit of affection startled him, but wouldn't it startle anybody. Jonah looked at Christie with shock. Christie saw the shock and slowly moved her unsteady hand from Jonahs knee. Jonah watched as Christies hand retreated from his knee. Jonah sat there in complete silence. Suddenly Jonah stands quickly, and exits the cold empty, basement, Leaving Maloney's heart slowly leaking in Christies lap.
