Stiles hates it whenever Derek has to go away for work. He really does.
Hope doesn't like it either. She gets pissed off if she doesn't get her Papa Sourwolf-fix every single day.
"I'll be back in three days, okay?" Derek reassured Stiles as the young man's pout rivaled their daughter's pouty face.
He chuckled as he pressed a kiss on those cupid bow lips, "Babe, your Dad and I will be just fine. Besides, it's gonna be fun bonding with my boyfriend's Dad, right?"
It only made Stiles harder and Hope growl louder.
"It won't be the same without you though.." Stiles muttered as he nuzzled Hope's cheek.
"Daddy, dun' be sad. Papa... Kiss Daddy..." Hope whined as she tried to reach for Derek.
And of course, Derek was happy to oblige. He pressed a kiss on Stiles' forehead and cheek, "I'll call every single day, okay?"
And with that, Derek left.
And Stiles and Hope stared blankly into the open forest.

Their first day without Derek was any other day, Hope was a bit fussy but she enjoyed Stiles' extra cuddle sessions.
Stiles would always bring Hope to work because he just couldn't bear leaving his daughter with a babysitter.
He would put her in his office where Lydia and Allison frequented, while baked his ass off.
Allison and Lydia doted on Hope. Whenever Stiles was too busy with batch baking, they would feed her and play with her.
Sometimes Isaac would come by and the two of them would have a cuddle session, which Stiles was thankful for, because Hope would get to nap for an hour or so.

At night, Stiles would wear Derek's Henley. Hope seemed to enjoy smelling her Papa and Daddy all rolled into one.
"C'mon, baby, Papa's gonna video call us." Stiles said as he hoisted her up on to his hip and went on to their bedroom.
Video calling with Derek was quite enjoyable. Hope would babble on about her day while Stiles gave side comments.
"Papa, miss you..." Hope mumbled and before they knew it, she was asleep.
Stiles smiled at Derek and said, "She misses you a lot. I miss you... it's not even two days yet but, Der..."
"Hey, I'll be back soon, okay? I miss you both so much." Derek said with a fond smile on his face.
And with that, the three of them slept easy.
