Bluey and the Third World War

AIRPORT!

Military Hardliners took control of the Soviet Union in 1989 and regained control of eastern Europe. The Soviet Union now has a much more aggressive foreign policy, and throughout the last few decades, there have been many close calls which almost started a war.

But that's not important right now! The year is 2024, and it just turned winter in Australia, so the Heelers decided they'd join Mackenzie's family and head up north for some good old Vacation in Austria (ha get it ha ha ha Australia, Austria, what a classic)! Bluey was looking forward, she had never been to the northern hemisphere before. 

"Hurry up, kids!", shouts Chilli as she drags two suitcases outside to the car. They've overslept and are running late for their flight. Bluey is trying to cram as many toys as she can into her Backpack. "Coming!" She runs towards the front door but trips. "Ow." "Guess we'll have to leave Bluey behind.", joked Bandit. She heard that and hurried up, her backpack barely fitting in the trunk. Going to Austria for vacation, hell yeah! Chilli even showed them pictures of Vienna. They thought it would be a nice contrast to the palm trees and beaches of Brisbane. Bluey was just confused. 

They hit the gas at the Highway, desperate to may it to the Airport on time. But morning traffic is a bummer. Luckily for them the Satnav rerouted them to a shortcut and they took the next exit. "I'll put some music on. Improve the mood and all.", decides Bandit to calm everyone down. Instead of music, it plays the news. "This is Dan from BBC Breakfeast, isn't it convenient you tuned in just now to hear that exact part! We bring you breaking news! NATO is holding an emergency meeting in Frankfurt today to discuss the skirmishes between NATO forces in West Berlin and the NVA of the German Democratic Republic, which occurred yesterday evening. Sources cla-" *channel gets switched* "That's better!" Moments later, the car pulls up to the airport and everyone rushes to get their bags. "Any sign of the Border Collies?" "No. THey must be at the gate already! Gah, now there's no point having paid for the lounge. Let's just get moving and we'll still make it onto the plane." They hurry up, and low and behold they barely made it. "Don't close the gate yet, we still need to get in!" The person operating it didn't seem to pleased, but let them in anyways. They make it onto the plane. "Dad, why is everyone staring at us?" asks Bluey. "Uhhh, quick, find your seats! We'll be taking off soon.", he amswers, avoiding the topic. Mackenzie waves to Bluey but she doesn't notice him and sits down next to Bingo (ouch). "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome onboard flight AU-383474. We will be flying towards Vienna, Austria. We estimate the flight will take 27 hours, so feel free to take advantage of our onboard movie site for the duration of your flight. We wish you a pleaseant flight." The plane backs out.
