𐙚⋆˚✿˖°The marriage date for Kabir and Rashi had been set a week ago. Today was the Mehendi ceremony, held in the middle of a vibrant garden. Friends and relatives surrounded Rashi, dancing joyfully, the air filled with laughter and music.
Rashi sat gracefully as the mehendi artist delicately applied henna to her hands, speaking fondly of her groom. The cool touch of the mehendi soothed her, but beneath the calm exterior, Rashi's heart raced.
Her mind wandered, replaying old memories.
"Look, the shade is so dark, just like my love for you," he had whispered, wrapping his arms around her from behind.
Rashi caught his eyes in the mirror and responded coldly, "You mean, forced love?"
He sighed, frustration creeping into his voice. "That's enough, Rashi. Let's not start this again."
"Why? Does it trigger you?" she had asked, challenging him.
His hand had raised and then... everything went dark.
"RASHI?"
Her mother's voice snapped her back to reality. "Your in-laws are here."
Rashi moved aside as the Rajput ladies approached her. Bindu, cupped Rashi's face with affection.
"You look beautiful. Just like Mihir always says, like a fairy," Bindu said, her eyes shining.
"Thank you, Aunty." Rashi replied softly.
Bindu turned to Heer with irritation. "Look at this girl! Still calling me 'Aunty' when I'm practically her mom now. Tell her to call me Mom, or I'll take back the fairy compliment!"
Rashi laughed at her future mother-in-law's playful complaint.
"Theek hai. Thank you, Mom."
