Why do I always have the worst job?
I know you're wondering what I'm saying so lemme explain. After the game, The party continued but Samuel got himself drunk as usual, And Davina offered to take care of him and David didn't want to leave his sister's side... again so I was left to find a room.
Normally, I would have just asked Ella but I didn't think she was alright because of her 'breakup'. So I didn't. Instead, I went from room to room looking for somewhere empty for us to spend the night. Ella had the biggest house in school with almost 100 rooms so it was a really stressful job. Coupled with the fact that I've walked in on so many disgusting scenes
Trust me, You don't wanna know
So we weren't originally meant to sleep over, Yemi was supposed to drop us all home but unfortunately, she had to leave early because of her mum.
Her mum Afolabi Oreoluwa was a very famous model and actress in the whole of West Africa. She was Yemi's mother. Mrs Afolabi was a strict, really strict woman but was a very busy woman that didn't create time for her only daughter. She wanted Yemi to follow in her footsteps but Yemi didn't like those stuff, she liked sports and her mum stopped her from playing but she still continued. Recently, her mum found out she has been playing sports, so she kept an extra eye on her.
Yemi's mum wasn't always like that. Infact, When we were kids, her mum and her had the cutest mother-daughter relationship when her father was still alive. Her father slept and never woke up. That period was very tough for Yemi. I vividly remember how broken she was that period and trust me when I say that period was hell for us.
Yemi's mum changed after that. She no longer spended time with her daughter and the little time she was around, She made her life unbearable. She started by making her stop sports completely but Yemi didn't listen. Recently, her mum found out that she still did sports and locked her in her house because she was around for a month or two. In other words, Yemi was grounded. So, her mum didn't allow her go for the party but she snuck out while her mother was asleep and her driver came with her to pick us up so when her mum called her, She had to go home unless she could come here and make a scene.
To everyone, she was a good mother, pretty and caring but they didn't know her like the way Yemi and I knew her.
And since she left with the limo she used to drop us, we were basically stranded. We couldn't call our drivers because they would probably be in their houses with their families sleeping and plus, who would want to leave their houses at midnight to pick some teens?
No one.
So we had no other choice than to sleep over at her house. I was so lost in thought that I didn't know when I bumped into someone.
