The Leaders sit on a throne that is specialized for each of them while observing those scholars in a Thousand Eyes Mirror in front of them. They seem to have been interested in those three musketeers.

They keep watching in silence, monitoring every second move of hundreds of the disciples.

"Look, what they have found, our message. Let's see if they can handle those demons."

Master Yao of Huashan breaks the silence and is continued by Master Lian who has a liquor in his hand while slouching on the chair.

"Hahaha! What an ill-fated kid. What are the chances for them to encounter such a powerful demon~~ ."

"Let's see if they can truly catch them."

"Rong-er, are you sure Junling can handle this? Why don't you let him pursue literature?"

Master Guang turned his gaze to the woman on his side, for a confirmation of letting her student join the competition.

"I want him to at least experience fighting demons, making comrades, and learning how to protect his loved ones. His interest in embroidery and dancing is not wrong, but he always sits in his room and does not socialize.

Master Rong sighs and turns to Master Guang.

"He doesn't even know the other kids' names in his clan. Soon, he will lead the clan together with Jiafu, this will be the start of his training".

"Argh! They smell terrible! Damn you demons!"

Song Jun easily cuts the demons with his swords. But suddenly something fell off from the demons after they vanished into thin air.

"Huh?"

Song Jun was confused until he realized it was a relic that they were supposed to find.

While Mengyang and Junling were fighting mercilessly to kill those demons they didn't even bother to check those relics that fell off.

"Take this!"

Junling throws his fan onto the demons with sharp pointy blades on the mount of the fan. It successfully cuts the throats of those demons. The fan came back to him with blood dripping.

He looks at the fan disgusted.

"This is why I don't like fighting, look what happens on my fan!"

"You dare come to our territory!"

Mengyang threatens those demons by putting the tip of his sword on their throat.

"Tell me! Who's your leader?! Was it him? Zhong Kui!?"

By the time they were asked, those demons immediately killed themselves, refusing to answer Mengyang.

The same thing happened to Song Jun: some of the artifacts fell as if those relics were inside those demons' bodies.

"Junling? Is there more? Why are there so many of them? It is beyond what we ever fight with!"

"I don't know, but they are all low-level demons. But still, how can they get past the barriers?"

Junling gasped to see something terrible was about to happen.

"Seniors use this!" He shouted at Junling while throwing his sword to save Jun.

"Jun! Your back!"

Junling noticed that a demon was trying to slash Jun's back, and he immediately protected him by stabbing it using his sword. The demon then stops and vanishes into thin air. The silence was loud between them. It ended with three of them surrounded by the relics that fell off the demons.

"Finally, they're all gone."

Mengyang was appeased when the fights were over, but he was confused about those objects that had fallen off. Well, he was not the only one.

"Now what in the world are these things?" Jun was taken aback when none of them knew the answers. He questions further.

"Aren't these the divine relics that we are supposed to collect? He picked one of the relics.

"Look at this, isn't this Thunder-Wind Dagger? Didn't you already collect this?"

He turned to Junling oddly, with a dagger in his hands.

"Yes, but... why is it here?" He questions this himself until seconds later he decides to try something. Feng Junling took out the dagger he collected and threw it onto the ground.

"Mengyang, may I use your sword?" Mengyang nodded and right away gave his sword to the disciple. Junling then unexpectedly stabs the dagger and it turns to ash immediately. In a blink of an eye, he smirks and shouts.

"I knew it! They played us!"

"Junling, why are you shouting? More demons will come then." Jun was mad at Junling for his sudden shout and he kept asking.

"Let them come, more relics we got." Junling smiles and looks at Mengyang like a proud senior.

"I...I don't understand, the dagger was fake? Then what about the balm, is it fake too?"

"Yes, it is fake. The relics that came out of the demon are the real ones. You better pick it up before anyone else does." He turns to Song Jun and provokes him.

"You better collect it quickly, at least you work for this and not cheat ~"

Mengyang is still in a blur, questioning the whole mission for this evening.

Suddenly, there was a loud drum banging, meaning the first mission had ended. All the participants immediately vanished into thin air and were transported to the Yutian Hall.

*****

"Welcome back! Congratulations on making it back in one piece. I'm pretty sure everyone already has the 5 relics I asked to collect. Please, please let the relics be shown!"

Master Yao, whom Mengyang is afraid of the most, is smiling widely to welcome the disciples again in the Yutian Hall. It is odd for his master to smile happily like that, so he knows something is up.

When Mengyang saw his favorite senior he rushed to him and smiled proudly.

"Yichen! Look, I succeeded in collecting all five relics!"

Yichen looked at the relics carefully and smiled proudly at his junior, he patted Mengyang's head and said softly.

"So you got the message huh?"

Mengyang tilted his head while looking at him confused.

"What message?"

"THE MESSAGE." Out of nowhere, Song Jun suddenly joins the conversation.

"Don't you know why the relics that we've been collecting are fake? Also, why are the real ones all in the demon?"

Mengyang shakes his head but is curious about the fake relics. He has been wondering why the relics he's been collecting are all fake. In the meantime, the masters are all about to announce the result of who has succeeded in the first mission and is about to go to the next phase.

"I am going to announce the disciples that will succeed in the next mission." Master Jianjun opens a scroll named the True Descendant. The light starts brightening while the words float the names that will go to the next phase.

"Song Jun and Li Mei from Lushan, Feng Junling and Ye Xian from Tai, Zhang Haoran and Xin Yi from Wutai, Cao Longwei and Sheng Yue from Tianmen, and Huan Mengyang and Jin Yeying from Huashan".
