Suman sat in her room, a soft smile playing on her lips as she thought about Ayush.
They were engaged now, and in just a few days, they would be married.
The excitement bubbled inside her, a mix of nerves and pure happiness.
Today, her family had decided to call their family priest to finalize the wedding date.
Her father, Satyajeet, had also invited Ayush's family so that they could all know the date together.
The doorbell rang, and Suman's heart skipped a beat.
She heard the familiar voices of Ayush, Aarushi, and Bhupendra in the living room.
Her mother, Shobha, was welcoming them, and she could hear the polite exchange of greetings.
There was a moment of hesitation when Shobha asked, "Meenaji nahi aayi?"
Bhupendra replied that she was busy with something, which felt odd to both Satyajeet and Shobha.
But seeing the happiness in Suman's eyes, they controlled their thoughts.
They only wanted their daughter's happiness.
The priest arrived shortly after, and everyone gathered in the living room.
Suman's heart fluttered with anticipation as she saw Ayush.
He looked at her with warmth and reassurance, making her feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
The priest sat down and asked for their kundali's.
Shobha handed over Suman's kundali to the priest and then turned to Bhupendra, asking for Ayush's.
"Ji bhaisahab, Ayush ki kundali?" she asked.
Bhupendra nodded and passed the kundali to the priest.
As everyone chatted, the priest began his calculations, counting on his fingers and murmuring to himself.
Suman felt a sense of calm wash over her.
This was real.
They were really going to get married soon.
The priest leaned closer to Satyajeet and whispered something that made Satyajeet's expression change.
Suman couldn't hear what was being said, but she noticed the flicker of tension on her father's face.
He looked worried, and that worried her.
"Aap sach mein apni putri ka vivah inse karwana chahte hain?" the priest asked, gesturing towards Ayush.
Satyajeet frowned, "Aap aisa kyun keh rahe hain, pandit ji?"
The priest sighed, "Inn dono ki kundaliyan bilkul alag hain. Yeh dono ek dusre ke liye bane hi nahi hain. Agar yeh vivah hua toh dono ka jeevan barbaad ho jaayega."
