Life As a Whole

The mind itself is a paradox

Unraveling at it's seams

Knowing one thing, believing another

But doubting that both are true

The heart is also an enigma

With it's lies hiding more lies

You're told to believe all that you feel

And ignore all you've been told

The soul, as finale, is nonsense as well

No doubt I'm sure you've been told

Living forever in heaven or hell

One destiny path foretold

The mind, the heart, the soul

Three enemies fight for control

On a battlefield ended solely by death

One hopes it won't last so long

The mind itself is a paradox

The heart is also an enigma

The soul, as finale, is nonsense as well

But no stranger than life as a whole
