Kyra Cooney-cross x Alessia Russo: USA pt1

Alessia pov:

I sat down in my seat, leaning back into the soft material. I looked over to the seat next to me, where one of my best friends Kyra was sat. I could see her face lighting up as she scrolled through the movie options on the screen infront of us. I giggled at her smile as her favourite movie popped up on the screen, causing an extra wide smile. She looked over at me as I giggled before rolling her eyes and returning to face her screen.

'You alright Kyra?' I asked as she turned her screen off.

'Yeah I can't wait to go to the us again! When we went with the Matilda's it was great.' She said, her eyes glowing as she brought up her national team.

'I'm so excited to' I said running my fingers through my hair. 'There food is so good. Chipotle, goldfish and everything else.' 

As the flight continued, me and Kyra enjoyed chatting and spending some relaxed time in each others presence. 

Before we knew it the flight was landing. Kyra had fallen asleep during the long trip so I nudged her, trying to wake her up.

'Ky, we here.' I said gently. She moved slightly before waking up fully. 'Good morning sleepyhead. Welcome to the USA.'

She laughed before standing up and getting her bags, the tiredness evident in her body. We got off the plane and stood waiting for our luggage, Kyra leant against me half asleep. Her head was in the crook of my neck as I put mine on top of hers. We waited until the baggage came, before heading out to the coach that was waiting for us. I grabbed a two seater and sat down in the seat next to the window as Kyra traipsed in behind me.

'Lessi can I go to sleep?' Kyra said sluggishly.

'Ky im sure it will be ok if you just sleep until we get to the hotel.' I replied running my fingers through her hair and pulling her in close to me. I was very close with Kyra, and she was now like a younger sister to me so everyone knew that I was there for her. 

'Someone's tired i think.' Katie giggled from behind us. Kyra had dosed off to sleep, her head resting on my shoulder and one arm wrapped around my neck. I could sense what Katie was about to do and made it known.

'Katie dont you dare. She's tired ok?' I warned Katie.

'Urgh fine less. Stop being protective over her.' Katie teased 

'Katie..' Caitlin said from behind me.

'Just let her sleep ok you know that we are just besties.' I replied giggling at the slap Caitlin gave her girlfriend. I then felt Kyra move on my shoulder as she woke up.

'Hey bubs.' I said putting my hand on the side of her head. I had called Kyra bubs since we became close, a nickname that had just stuck. 'I'm sorry for waking you up, I didn't mean to. You can go back to sleep if you want?' Tucking a lone strand of hair behind her ear i pulled her body close to mine.

'It's ok lessi. I should probably stay awake anyway.' She replied snuggling into my body.

When we finally arrived at the water gate hotel i grabbed my bags and headed to grab the key for my room. We had a room between two people that had two beds so me and Kyra shared.

I dumped my bags on the floor before flopping onto the bed, Kyra following me and flopping beside me. She rolled over and laid her head on my chest, our sister-like bond becoming stronger every second. 

Hey guys this is an attempt at a one shot series and so far im enjoying. A short part here cause i had loads of homework too and not much time. Probably post every two days so i hope you enjoy. I love arsenal women, lionesses, the matildas and there may end up being a couple United womens one with grace and tooney in, or just a couple of random groups with a mix of players.
