Chapter 1: Haunting Memories

In the middle of the night, Gabriel woke up to Sam tossing and turning in the bed. He became extremely worried about Sam. He’s been doing this for the past few days. Gabriel tried to talk to Sam about it but he would try to brush it off and tell Gabriel it was okay.

Gabriel knew better than that. Sam was indeed not okay. Gabriel decided to wait a few minutes to wake him up to see if he would calm down on his own. Sam didn’t calm down. He continued to toss and turn in distress. Gabriel gently shakes Sam awake. Sam stirs before finally opening his eyes. His eyes were puffy from crying in his sleep.

“What’s wrong..?” Sam asked, still groggy.

Gabriel hesitated to talk before taking a deep breath and began to speak.

“Sam.. Hun, it seems you were having a nightmare. Wanna talk bout it?”

Sam avoided eye contact, not wanting to engage in any further conversation.

Gabriel noticed this and sighed.

“I won’t force you to tell me anything but just know, if you ever wanna tell me anything, I’m here.”
