Jimin stood outside the cozy restaurant, adjusting the cuffs of his blazer for what felt like the tenth time. It was their anniversary, and tonight, he was ready for whatever Jungkook had planned. He couldn’t help but smile at the thought of celebrating this special day together.

A sudden familiar voice called out to him. “Jimin!”

Jimin looked up to see Jungkook walking towards him, a bright smile lighting up his face. He looked effortlessly charming in a deep blue shirt and black slacks, sleeves rolled up just the way Jimin liked. As soon as Jungkook was close enough, Jimin felt himself being pulled into a quick, warm hug.

“You look amazing,” Jungkook said as he leaned back, taking a moment to admire Jimin from head to toe.

“You’re not so bad yourself,” Jimin replied, his voice soft with affection. He reached out to fix a stray lock of Jungkook’s hair, his fingers lingering just a bit longer than necessary.

Jungkook grinned, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a folded slip of paper. He handed it to Jimin, his eyes sparkling with excitement. “Here.”

Jimin raised an eyebrow, curiosity clear on his face. “What's this?”

“It’s the start of tonight's mission,” Jungkook said, the corner of his mouth quirking up in that teasing smile that Jimin adored. “I know I said we’d have dinner, but I thought we could make it a little more interesting first.”

Jimin blinked, looking at the paper. He carefully unfolded it, revealing the first clue: "Anniversary Mission: Find the Secret Location - Clue 1: Where we first realized we were more than just friends."

Jimin read the words aloud before looking back at Jungkook, whose smile had softened into something more sincere. “You really planned this whole thing, huh?”

Jungkook nodded, his eyes bright. “I wanted it to be memorable, just like you make every day for me.”

Jimin’s heart melted at the sincerity in Jungkook’s voice. He reached out to squeeze Jungkook’s hand. “Then let’s get started.”

Jimin quickly figured out where they needed to go. He led Jungkook through the familiar streets, their hands brushing until Jungkook finally intertwined their fingers. They walked in comfortable silence, sharing a few smiles, until they reached a small park just a few blocks away. Jimin stopped by a weathered bench, the place they used to sit after long shifts, talking late into the night until the exhaustion of their jobs gave way to something deeper—something that brought them closer.

Jungkook nodded approvingly as Jimin approached the bench, where another envelope was waiting. Jimin picked it up and opened it, revealing the second clue. "Clue 2: Where we shared our first dance under the stars."

Jimin looked at Jungkook, who was watching him intently, a glimmer of excitement in his eyes. He took a moment to think back to that night—the summer evening filled with music and laughter when Jungkook had pulled him into an impromptu dance, their laughter echoing under the warm glow of fairy lights.

“Ready?” Jungkook asked, squeezing Jimin’s hand.

Jimin smiled, nodding. “Let’s go.”

They made their way down the street until they reached the spot where that outdoor music event had been held. The small square was mostly empty now, save for a single table set up under soft string lights, a quiet melody playing from a nearby speaker. Jimin’s breath caught as he took in the scene, his gaze flicking back to Jungkook.

“Jungkook, did you… set this all up?” Jimin asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Jungkook rubbed the back of his neck, a bit sheepishly. “Yeah, I wanted to recreate that night… the one where I finally got to dance with you.” He gestured to the table. “And I figured we could take a moment to dance again, if you want.”

Jimin’s smile widened as he set the clue down and stepped towards Jungkook. “Of course I want to.”

Jungkook took Jimin's hand, wrapping an arm around his waist as they started to sway slowly to the music. Jimin rested his head on Jungkook’s shoulder, feeling the warmth of Jungkook’s embrace, and he closed his eyes, allowing the moment to sink in.

“You know,” Jimin murmured, “I think this might be my favorite anniversary so far.”

Jungkook chuckled softly. “That’s because it’s our only anniversary so far.”

“Still,” Jimin smiled, pulling back just enough to look into Jungkook's eyes, “you’ve outdone yourself.”

Jungkook’s cheeks flushed, and he leaned down, brushing his lips against Jimin’s forehead. “I’d do anything for you.”

When the song ended, Jungkook reluctantly pulled away, retrieving the next note from the table and handing it to Jimin. "Final Clue: Where I realized I wanted forever with you."

Jimin looked up at Jungkook, his heart pounding as their eyes met. He could see the nervous excitement in Jungkook's expression. “Jungkook…” he whispered, the weight of the moment settling between them.

Jungkook took his hand again, giving him a gentle smile. “Come on, let’s go.”

They walked in silence, a sense of anticipation hanging between them. Jimin felt his heart pounding harder as they approached the park once again, this time stopping under a large oak tree—the very same one they had sat beneath on that crisp autumn day, when they had talked for hours about everything and nothing, and Jungkook had admitted, in his shy, earnest way, that Jimin was the person he wanted by his side through it all.

Jungkook turned to face Jimin, taking a deep breath. He reached into his pocket, pulling out a small velvet box. “Jimin, I brought you here because this is where I realized that I never want to be without you. And I want everyone to know that. I want us to share our lives, to make more memories, to keep choosing each other every day.”

Jimin felt his eyes well up with tears, his breath catching in his throat as Jungkook dropped to one knee and opened the box, revealing a simple yet beautiful silver band.

“Park Jimin,” Jungkook began, his voice steady even as his eyes shone with emotion, “will you marry me?”

Jimin's tears spilled over as he nodded, his smile trembling as he whispered, “Yes, Jungkook, of course I will.”

Jungkook stood, slipping the ring onto Jimin’s finger before pulling him into a tight embrace. Jimin wrapped his arms around Jungkook, burying his face in his shoulder, feeling overwhelmed by the depth of his love for the man in his arms.

When they finally pulled apart, Jungkook leaned down, capturing Jimin’s lips in a tender kiss, their love and promise sealing under the soft glow of the streetlights. The world around them seemed to fade, leaving just the two of them, standing beneath the oak tree where everything had changed.

Jungkook pulled back, resting his forehead against Jimin’s, their eyes meeting as they caught their breath. “I love you, Jimin.”

Jimin smiled, his heart feeling as if it might burst from happiness. “I love you too, Jungkook. Forever.”

Jungkook grinned, taking Jimin’s hand and kissing his knuckles. “Come on, we’ve got a dinner reservation waiting.”

Jimin laughed, allowing Jungkook to lead him back towards the restaurant, his fingers intertwined with Jungkook’s. Tonight, everything felt perfect, and he knew, without a doubt, that their future together would be just as bright.
