Goodbye Mariah

Chapter 4

Last night Taylor drove me home, but he stayed. I wake up and find him still sleeping peacefully next to me, I crawl outta bed and put some pants on. I walk to the bathroom and brush my teeth and hair before starting my make-up. When I finished I walked to my closet and grabbed my blue dress off the rack and slip it on. I walk back to the bed and wake Taylor up. "Hey, you've gotta go before my mom wakes up." I laugh. He rolls over and looks at me. "Alright." He groans.

He puts his clothes on and walks over to me grabbing my waist to hug me. "Ya know, never once did I think Mike would win and I would be in his sisters room." He laughs before kissing me. He lets go of my face and climbs out the window. Seconds later my mother burst through the door. "Why aren't you at school?" She starts yelling. "I'm going right now." I slide past her. I rush down the road and hop into Taylors truck. "You alright?" He asks me. I look out the window and hold back my tears, "Ya, I'm fine." I look at him and smile. "We're not going to school, turn left." I tell him before he takes the path to school. He turns left like I told him to. "Where are we going?" He asks. "Were going to the The GPG" I tell him. "The GPG?" He says confused. "The GPG, The Gangs Party Grounds." I tell him. "When Daniels dad died he left this huge property to him, we call It The Gangs Party Grounds." I tell him. "We throw party's once a month there." I grab my phone outta my bag and text Kaci to remind her to grab the shot glasses.

"How come ive never been to these parties?" He laughs. "You might've, you'll regonize the place when we get there." I tell him. Mike used to bring the Alcohol, but he's gone. So now I've gotta grab it. I grab my fake ID outta the back of my phone and tell Taylor to pull into the corner store. "What are we doing here?" He asked all confused. "I gotta get the alcohol for the party" I tell him as I show him my fake ID. I ruffle my hair up and flip it to the side, I throw on some make-up that makes me look 28. I unbutton my crop top to show cleavage and head inside.

I grab 7 different alcohol bottles and four packs of MIKEs. I put it all on the counter and the lady looks at me. "Will this be it?" She says. I nodd my head. "Alright, ID please." I hand her my ID and grab a blueraspberry BREEZE off the vape shelf. "Throw that in there too please." I say. I give her the cash and grab my things. I put everything in the back of Taylors truck and jump back in the front seat. "Have you done that before?" He asked as I get back in. "Nope, Mike usually does. That was my first time." I laugh as I hit the vape.

"Turn here." I tell Taylor as we come up to the road. "Im starting to recognize where we are." He laughs. "I told you you'd recognize it." I laugh with him. "We're about 2 miles away now." I tell him, he nods his head and puts his hand on my things for the rest of the ride. I don't know why it gave me butterflies when he did but it did. We finally reached the property. "Park up by those cars." I tell Taylor as I point to my friends cars.

"Your late!" Kaci yells as I jump out of Taylors truck. "The party don't start for another 12 hours Kaci, I'm not late." I say sarcastically but then laugh. "Ya but you were supposed to be here like an hour ago to help set up." She laughed. "OHHHHHH." She says loudly once she realizes that Taylors here. "I see what happened" She laughs. "Don't make her late everyday tho buddy." She smacks his arm and helps me grab the MIKEs. Taylor smiles at me and goes around to the other side of the truck to grab the bottles outta the back seat.

Me and Jack just broke up and everyone is already so comfortable with Taylor. Daniel and Justin run out to the truck, Justin takes the bottles from his hand and Daniel loops his arm with Taylors. "So" I hear Daniel say. "How are you and my bestie doing." Daniels voice fades as he walks away with Taylor and Justin.

"Carl is comin to the party tonight!" Kaci says nervously as we walk inside the house. "Isn't Carl the new guy your talking to?" I ask her. "Ya, he's sweet. But to sweet, is that bad?" She says. "No, sweets good." I laugh. "Ya but like, i don't know. You'll see." She says. "But you and Taylor?" Her eyebrows go up and her eyes widen. "Is that something or whar is it?" She giggles. "I don't know yet, we're gonna see tonight." I smile

13 hours later

"Guys! There's people here!" Justin screams. Everyone sters pulling up to the property so me and Kaci turn the lights on throughout the yard on the poles and grab the rest of the shot glasses. "You know what absolutely sucks about this party?" I look at my friends "What?" They all say confused. "I wanna get totally wasted tonight but I work at 11 am tomorrow." I say as everybody laughs. Everybody leaves and starts to mingle with people. Justin and Daniel are over by the other gays, Kaci is making-out with Carl and Taylor is staring at me on the other side of the fire, I get up from where I am and walk over to him. "Howdy stranger" He says as I st down next to him. "Hey." I laugh. I rest my head on his shoulder and I can hear his heart beating, "I think I love you" I say quietly but making sure he can hear me, "You think?" He laughs. I remove my head from his shoulder and look him in the eyes. "Ya, I think I do." I smile as he grbs my face and kisses it.

After Taylor kisses me I look around to see what everyone is up to, but instead i see Jack on the opposite side of the fire looking directly at us. I grab Taylors hand and walk over to Daniel and Justin. "Guys we have a problem." I say as Jack walks over to us. "No, your either gonna go somewhere else or leave the property" Daniel says as he walks in front of me and Taylor. "I just wanna talk to Mariah." Jack sighs. I let go of Taylors hand and step next to Daniel, "What do you want?" I say uncomfortably, "I just want you to know, if your gonna sleep with other people then your considered a slut." He laughs.

"Your drunk, go home." I say. His face scrunched up as he smacked me across the face making me fall to the ground. "Drunk? Don't tell me what I am and am not!" He screams Taylor then balls up his fist and knocks him in the face, Daniel and Justin grab onto Jacks two arms and pulls him across the field and to his car. Kaci runs over to my side as her and Taylor help me up. "Are you ok?" Kaci says. "Ya I'm good." I lie, I stand up and Taylor raps his arms around me, I grab his hand as we walk to the bench away from everyone else.

We sit down on the bench and I start crying. Taylor grabs my side and pulls me to his, he holds me tight as I cry. "Are you ok?" He looks into my eyes, "No." I say. "Has he hit you before?" He questions me. "Ya." I sigh. "I could tell by the look in his eyes." He says. "I wont ever hurt you the way he did." He says. "You promise?" I say as my eyes meet his. "I promise." He says as he grabs my face and kisses me.
