Krystal sat on a chair at the Enchanted Lake nearby Lonnie, talking with her. The two had always been great friends, even as kids. They were at the Enchanted Lake for Jane's birthday party and Krystal had to admit she was worried her boyfriend and her friends wouldn't make it. She could tell Jane was worried that her boyfriend, Carlos, wouldn't make it also. Ryder was with them, sitting nearby his girlfriend, Lonnie. made a great couple, and Krystal often found herself smiling at their interactions.

The two had been best friends for most of their life yet it was only recently that they had realized their deeper feelings for each other. Ryder was the one to admit his feelings first. It was after they won a Tourney game. He was getting sick and tired of dancing around their feelings. He knew he loved her and was pretty sure she loved him back. So, he went for it and kissed her. And he had pulled back before she had any time to respond because he started overthinking and worrying but she quickly grabbed the collar of his jersey and pulled him in for a kiss. After that, they both admitted their feelings for each other and began dating.

They were a great couple, and Krystal could see that they were going to last a long time. She was happy for her friends, and hoped the same thing would happen for her and Jay. They had been through a lot, but they were still a couple and were still in love. But she had to admit, sometimes she wondered if it would last. She couldn't help it. Sometimes she let the doubts creep into her mind, which was awful. She tried not to, but it was hard not to. Jay and her had been dating for a while now yet she knew he wasn't the type to have a serious relationship. Though he told her and proved to her that he did have feelings for her, a part of her was worried. But she had no reason to be. Jay loves her, she knew that. So, she shouldn't doubt their relationship. Still, she couldn't help it sometimes.

Jane was standing at the center of the pavilion, looking around anxiously for Carlos as Chad stood by her. "Oh, looks like Carlos forgot about your birthday, huh?" Chad chuckled.

"Well, maybe not," Jane quickly replies. "Maybe he just took the wrong trail or something. Or you know what? They probably don't celebrate birthdays on the Isle, maybe it's like a cultural thing."

Krystal sends her a sympathetic look, knowing Jane was trying to convince herself. "Jay told me birthdays are a thing on the Isle but not like here in Auradon. Though he'll be here." She assures her, wanting to help Jane feel better. "They'll all be here soon, I promise. They wouldn't miss your birthday. Especially Carlos, he cares a lot about you."

"Yeah," Ryder chimes up. "He's probably just a little late, but I'm sure he'll be here."

Jane's face flushes at that as her smile widens. "Oh, yeah." Chad nods, not seeming convinced. "Or maybe he just forgot. You never know." He chuckled.

Krystal and Lonnie both look at him with a glare. "Don't listen to him, Jane." Lonnie says softly, glancing at the brunette with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry. Knowing Carlos, he's probably just making sure everything's perfect for you. He wouldn't miss your birthday for anything," Lonnie reassured Jane with a warm smile, trying to ease her friend's concerns.
