He was on edge today, he never liked crowded place but it was impossible not to always get in some. His beast demanded to set it free, although he knew if he set him free these mere human around him will no longer live to put him in agony again.

He looked around the cafeteria, the human of both gender living a meaningless lives surrounded him. The typical players fooling around with the girls with skimpy clothes, the nerd with their books or gadgets. The music nerds with their groups and the jokers just making the surrounding more unbearable with their loud laugh. Again, he regretted the stupid idea to come here. His beast was not in control since morning, he thought eating some meat would help it but here it made his beast more aggravated.

Suddenly, a guy bumped into his shoulder and passed away without any apology, it was the limit he could bear. He turned around and walked out of the cafeteria. His beast could easy kill that guy in a blink of an eye, but he resisted.

His beast was beating hard in his chest causing a deep pain in his heart, it demanded freedom which he couldn't give it. Now he had no other option left other than to find her.

He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and searched for a soothing sandalwood scent. He blindly followed his senses and let them guide him to reach the possessor of the scent. He was not surprised when he reached the library because it was her most visited site other than lecture halls. He opened the door and the scent became stronger and soothing, his beast was now calmer but demanded to see her.

"Your I.D. and name?" the old receptionist sitting behind the computer desk asked.

He handed her the student I.D. card and didn't bother to utter his name when it was written big and bright in the I.D.

The receptionist doesn't seem to know how to read because she asked his name again.

"Dorian Graford" he said his name quickly in no mood to waste time. The receptionist handed him his card and he swiftly walked to the science section where he would find her.

He concealed himself behind the aisles and got comfortable in his position. Finally, he saw her, in the same place, same chair and different books.

He took a deep breath and breath in all of her magical aroma. Now, that he had sight of her, his beast was almost absent inside like it was only himself, a feeling he only felt when he was around her.

'She' was a nameless human drug for his inner beast .

She calmed him.

Only the sight of her brings him and his beast the peace of heaven and contents of living.

He opened his eyes and saw her reading from three books in front of her and then writing vigorously on her binder. Her silky brown hairs were in a bun as usual, he often wondered how long they were. Her eyebrows knitted closely as she worked in concentration and pink lips in a little pout. She looked heavenly.

The loose strands were beautifully falling on her beautiful face. Only, if he could reach and put those silk strands behind her ears. He had his own reasons. He had to maintain his distance, because he was a beast, a cruel creature and was capable of hurting anyone including her. She was the one he wanted to safeguard and keep in the preventive confines of his arms but how could he when he didn't have any belief in himself.

He was afraid to damage her.

He still remembered the day clearly the first day he had seen her.

His beast was restless that day but a more hundred times worst. He had gotten in the fight with more than ten people who annoyed him. The full moon pushed his beast in the far end and he just couldn't bear these annoying humans.

He felt the beast roaring inside and it appearing on his skin, he felt movement of his skin and his canines slightly elongated. He fisted his hands to prevent claws which drew blood from his palm and instantly closed his eyes and breathe a deep breath to calm him.

All of a sudden a magical sandalwood scent surrounded him; it was pure magic that happened that day.

The next moment he felt warm liquid falling on his chest and the other moment soft feminine hands were wiping the liquid off his shirt. They caused a pleasurable tingling sensation in his body.

"I am really sorry... so very sorry. I was in hurry I wasn't looking where I... I was... going... and I just ... tripped." a beautiful feminine voice said which had a sudden soothing effect oh his beast also he discovered she was the owner of the scent.

She kept muttering a million things in a breath while cleaning the liquid with a tissue. He took this time to stare at the only human whom his beast has let so close and hadn't killed.

"Great. The first day I am already lost and late and now... I just ruined your shirt" she finally looked up and met his gaze. It was like the world had disappeared and only she was the one and only source of his living.

She was his kryptonite.

Her brown hairs matched her brown eyes which stared boldly at him. Her eyes had no fear but utter curiosity.

She held him captivated.

"Do you know where the bio lab is?" she questioned him. He said nothing but just stared at her.

"Beautiful" the word came out of his mouth without any permission and the innocent girl blushed. She cleared her throat and instantly he snapped from his inner thoughts of hiding her away from everyone.

He saw a boy passing by him " Do you know the way to Bio lab?" He asked the boy as he grabbed him by his collar without taking his eyes off the girl.

"Yes" the boy managed to say clearly after few seconds

"Take her" he ordered and the boy nodded his head furiously.

"Thank you" the girl whispered and walked with the boy towards the science wing.

She looked back one again, met his gaze and walked away behind the boy. It was the day he realised that he needed her at all cost to survive this world.

It had been three years since the day of their meeting. They were just strangers that day but today he knew everything about her from her lecture to her address except one thing her name.

It had been three years since he found her but still had to discover the name of the girl who tamed his beast. It wasn't like he didn't want to but was just afraid to approach her 0r rather afraid for her that he might hurt her.

Now, here he was sitting in the library just staring at her while she studied intently. Finally, after four hours she looked up and packed her stuff, she looked out of the window and cursed. She increased her speed and ran out of the library with the speed of lightning.

Her bag was unzipped; several things fell out of it as she ran towards the bus stop. He followed her and picked the things falling out of her bag. A pen, hairclip, glue, tampon, one more pen and some more things; he wondered how many more were to come when he noticed a blue card falling out of her purse. He paused and walked swiftly to reach the particular thing.

His lips twitched upward as he realised what the blue card was, her I.D. with her picture and name.

Jennet Mary Caudwell

Guess now he knew everything about her.
