"WHAT?" Fred roared, causing several people's heads to turn. "YOU'RE - " Adria covered his mouth.

"Not here," she begged, "please." Fred nodded and led her upstairs, then up again to a smaller, darker room which was full of boxes.

"You're pregnant?!" He asked, voice wobbling. "How? We, we used protection!"

"I know!" Adria wailed, "Fred, I'm so sorry! I, you don't have to get involved if you don't want to." She waited for a reply, but he didn't give one. "Fred?"

"Yeah, I'm just confused," he said, shaking his head, "I mean, HOW?!?"

He turned away from her, and she could hear him breathing heavily.

"Fred?" She asked nervously. "Fred, listen, we can get an abortion - " He turned around so quickly that she jumped.

"An abortion? Are you crazy?!" He asked. Adria stared at him. "An abortion? Get rid of our beautiful baby?"

Adria gasped. "You, you want to have it?" She whispered, loud enough so he couldn't hear. "You want to be a father?"

Fred smiled and took her hands. "Why wouldn't I?" He asked. "You mean the world to me, Adria Snape. And if you're pregnant, then I'm going to stand by you the whole way. I will get you everything you need. I can take time off at the shop and stay with you. I don't even mind if you want me to come with you to Hogwarts. Whatever you want, I'll do it. I love you."

"But what about my dad? Your parents? George? What if they get angry? What if - "

" - Shh, it'll be ok. They won't be angry. Well, my parents won't. Can't say the same for your dad. He hates me." Adria rolled her eyes.

"My dad doesn't hate you, Fred. He just... gets a bit weird when it comes to relationships." Fred snorted.

"You can say that again."

Adria went to hit him, but he caught her arm and pinned her against the wall. His head was right by hers, and his lips looked so soft. She moved her head closer to his, taking in his scent. She forgot about the baby, she forgot about everything else, she just wanted him. He bent down and kissed her, and Adria wrapped her arms around his shoulders, kissing him, kissing him, kissing him. That was until the door opened, and George Weasley walked in.

"Fred, we need you down at the cashier - oh, sorry." He said, tips of his ears turning red. Fred smiled.

"Don't worry 'bout it, George. I'll be right down." George nodded and shuffled awkwardly out of the room. Fred looked down at Adria. "Gotta dash," he said, grinning, "Wanna come with?" Adria nodded and followed Fred down the stairs to the shop. Ginny was waiting for her at the bottom of the stairs.

"Did you two really go all the way upstairs just to make out?" She huffed, although the corners of her mouth twitched. She took Adria's hand. "C'mon. I wanna show you something."

Ginny led Adria over to a corner of the shop where lots of fluffy things were in cages. On a closer look, they had little eyes and were moving. Each one was a different colour, blues, greens, and pink.

"Look how cute they are!" She said, stroking a pink one. "I think I'll get one. You?"

Adria shook her head. She wasn't good with pets.

"Ok, well, I'm gonna take this one," Ginny said, picking up the pink one she was stroking, "Wait here."

She took the fluffy ball to the till, and Adria looked around the shop. She wandered over to a midnight blue section where Harry was standing.

"What's this?" She asked him.

"Instant Vanishing Powder." He said, pointing up at the sign. "Think I should get some?" Adria nodded.

"Why not? I bet it would be useful." Harry nodded, but before he could take it to pay, Ron tapped him on his shoulder and dragged him off, whispering urgently. Adria saw him, Ron and Hermione, then slip off and leave the shop.

She smiled secretly. She knew by the way Ron had whispered that she shouldn't follow. Instead, she walked over to the till where Ginny was queuing.

"Hey." Ginny said, taking a step forward as another person paid and left. "You alright?"

"Yeah. I'm just tired." Ginny nodded. They were almost at the till now.

"You should probably go make out with Fred to help with that." She said, smirking. Adria hit her.

"Hey, hey, hey, no fighting, or I'll have to ask you to leave." Fred said from the till, winking at the pair.

"Haha, very funny." Ginny replied, rolling her eyes. "You wouldn't dare throw Adria out of the shop."

Fred laughed and took their items. "4 Galleons and 1 Sickle. Cough up." Ginny took out some coins from her pocket.

"Dang it, I've only got 3." She said, then nudged Adria. "A Galleon and a Sickle? I'll pay you back, I promise." She gave Adria puppy dog eyes, and Adria handed her the money.

"There you go." Ginny pooled the money in front of Fred, and he took it.

"Shouldn't you two be going home soon?" He asked as they stepped to the side, and the next customer gave him their items. "Mum wouldn't want you two to get kidnapped or anything."

"Yeah, it's fine, we're heading back now anyway." Ginny responded, "Also, Mum's got roast beef for dinner if you and George want to come." Fred nodded.

"Roast beef? We'll be there." He said, taking the money from the customer. Ginny turned and went to leave. Adria followed, but Fred pulled her back.

"Not gonna leave without saying goodbye, are we?" Adria laughed and stood up on her tiptoes to kiss him goodbye. He returned the kiss and let Adria follow Ginny. "See you at dinner!"

When they got back to The Burrow, around lunchtime, Mrs Weasley was waiting for them, sitting at the kitchen table. She seemed tense and anxious.

"What's wrong, Mum?" Ginny asked, sitting down opposite her. Mrs Weasley cast a look at the wonderful clock they had. It had all of the Weasley's on there, all pointing to 'mortal peril'. Adria smiled when her eyes flicked over Fred's picture. He looked so... young. So innocent. Adria swallowed a snort. She doubted Fred had ever been innocent.

Suddenly, without warning, a cloud of soot came from the fireplace, and one by one, three heads emerged, all equally dusty and covered in soot. Mrs. Weasley looked furious. She rushed over to the fireplace and started shouting at the red - headed soot covered Ron.

"You said you would be back 10 minutes ago!!" She cried as Ron spluttered and tried to give an excuse.

"Sorry, Mum. If I had known that being even one second late would make you this angry, I wouldn't have left in the first place." Mrs Weasley narrowed her eyes: a danger sign.

"If you think it's funny to be making jokes about what's going on right now, then I might just not let you go back to Hogwarts."

Everyone went quiet, even Ginny. Adria looked around and met Harry's eye. He gave her a warning look, and she nodded.

Ginny beckoned for Adria to follow her upstairs to her room. They crept out while Mrs Weasley's eyes were still on Ron and ran up the stairs to her room.

"Phew! Thought she was gonna turn on us for a minute!" Ginny said, laughing. Adria smiled, but it didn't quite reach her eyes. She kept thinking of what her dad would say if she told him. She corrected herself. When she told him. She couldn't hide this from him, it was too huge.

But, she thought, if she could tell Fred, the father, then surely she could tell her dad. After all, he would want to help her, right?
