- NEXT DAY [2ND DAY OF VACATION] -
- MORNING -

Sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow over Jungkook's room. He stirred beneath the blankets, groaning softly as he blinked his eyes open. His body felt heavy with sleep, and for a moment, he didn't move, his mind still clouded by the remnants of the dream. That voice-the beautiful, haunting melody-lingered in his thoughts, as vivid as when he had heard it by the shore.

He sighed, staring at the ceiling, feeling a strange mixture of longing and confusion swirl inside him. Even now, the memory of that song felt so real, as if the singer had been standing right beside him. His heart still beats faster just thinking about it.

It wasn't until he glanced at the clock on his bedside table that he realized how late it was. "What the-?" he muttered, bolting upright. It was well past noon. He never slept in this late.

Groaning, he threw off the covers and dragged himself out of bed, his body still sluggish from the strange, dream-filled night. Padding over to the bathroom, he splashed water on his face, trying to shake off the grogginess that clung to him. The cool water sent a refreshing jolt through his senses, but even as he wiped his face dry, the echo of the song continued to hum at the back of his mind.

Jungkook stared at his reflection in the mirror, his damp hair sticking to his forehead. He frowned, almost as if searching his own face for answers. "What was that voice?" he whispered to himself. It didn't feel like a normal dream. It was too vivid, too real. He shook his head, trying to push the thought aside, but the memory clung to him stubbornly.

Grabbing his toothbrush, he brushed his teeth absentmindedly, his thoughts drifting back to the beach. He could still remember the exact moment when he had heard the voice, the way it had frozen him in place. The deep, velvety tone, the way it seemed to speak to something inside him-it was all so clear in his mind, as if he had heard it only moments ago.

After brushing his teeth, Jungkook decided a shower might help him clear his head. The warm water cascaded over his skin, and he closed his eyes, letting the gentle pressure relax his tense muscles. For a few moments, he stood still under the stream, hoping the warmth would wash away the lingering thoughts of the voice that haunted him all night.

As the steam rose around him, he took slow, deep breaths, trying to center himself. The heat helped, grounding him in the present, but every so often, the melody would resurface in his mind, soft and irresistible, tugging at the edges of his consciousness. He shook his head under the water, forcing the song out of his mind as best as he could.

After several minutes, he finally turned off the shower and stepped out, feeling more composed than before. The cool air of the bathroom hit his skin as he dried off, the warmth of the shower still lingering in his body. He stood there for a moment, staring into the mirror, watching the steam fog up the glass.

Once he had calmed down a little, he slipped into a fresh pair of clothes, pulling on a soft T-shirt and comfortable shorts. The cool fabric felt soothing against his skin as he ran his fingers through his damp hair, ruffling it to dry. With a sigh, he tossed the towel aside and stood for a moment in silence, his mind much quieter now, though the memory of that voice still hummed faintly in the background, refusing to be entirely forgotten.

Just as Jungkook was about to head downstairs, his phone buzzed loudly from his bedside table. Glancing at the screen, he saw it was his friends from college. He smiled, picking up the call, but before he could even say "hello," loud, excited voices exploded through the phone.

"Jungkook! Where have you been? You didn't even answer our messages! We thought you got lost in the ocean or something!" one voice shouted, quickly followed by another.
