The tension from the day's events lingers in the air as we leave the glittering city lights behind. The distance between us is filled with the soft hum of the car's engine, yet the silence inside feels more severe than normal. My knuckles are white with frustration as I hold on to the steering wheel a bit too tightly. The journey goes on, and the only indication of relief after such a long and trying day is the distant lights of our mansion.

Sitting next to me, Jisoo unnie is absorbed in her thoughts, her body tilted slightly toward the window. She is glancing at the passing buildings with her normally bright eyes.
