 After the duo got out of the bath, rena got her pajamas on that Gaku had gotten out for her. When she went to lie down with Gaku she heard her phone go off. Confused on why it would she picked it up with her glasses only for her eyes to widen.

Xana: Rena, I'm so sorry that I wasn't there for you when you had your cake. I have a stupid childish male for a significant other that doesn't seem to understand how much you mean to me. I DO have a gift for you and I hope to give it to you tomorrow [Or today depending on when you read this] I just wanted to let you know that I just found out that my mother was stabbed to death by my younger twin sister and my uncle Tio. They ARE in jail just...I feel so alone now.

She covered her mouth. "Oh goodness me no...Xana.."

Gaku looked at her confused and concerned. "Is something wrong Rena?"

Rena nodded her head as she looked at Gaku. "Xana lost her mother earlier tonight. Apparently her crap twin younger sister and her just as crappy uncle murdered her mother. She feels alone now since she already lost her father when we were kids."

Gaku moved closer to her and hugged her tightly. "Tell her to get back here and we can stay up with her so she isn't alone. Obviously Tenn isn't going to do shit to help her through this, so we're going to have to just to make sure she doesn't do anything stupid."

"R-Really? You'd stay up with us?"

"Of course, Xana is special to you as You are to her. The friendship you two have is important to the both of you. So I'll do what I can to help her get herself together since her boyfriend is acting like a damn child."

Rena hugged him tightly and kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you so much Gaku!"She said happily before she messaged Xana back.

Rena: Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry you lost your mother. Come back to TRIGGER's apartment, you AREN'T sleeping in your apartment alone. I will stay with you down in the living room so you aren't alone. I am not letting you deal with this nonsense alone. We made an oath to one another to always be there for one another. Get your butt back here missy, I wanna give you hugs ma'am!

Xana: That we do. I'll be there soon Rena. Thank you so much for always been a good friend even when I haven't been.

Rena: Don't even start with that nonsense. Get your butt here now ma'am. I want hugs from you ma'am.

Xana: I'm going, I'm going see you soon Rena

Rena then looked at Gaku. "She's on her way here. Let's go downstairs so we can be down there when she gets back here."

"Right, I'll make tea for her to calm her nerves."

"Mhm, I'll talk with her and get her to understand that I'm not mad at her...just at her arse of a boyfriend who I will be yelling at tomorrow." Rena said before they got up and went downstairs.

Rena noted when they got downstairs there were plates in the sink and wondered if Xana ever got a piece of the cake before she left out.

She knew that she'd have to ask about that when Xana got inside. When Xana did get inside the apartment she was instantly hugged by Rena tightly. Xana hugged her back tightly as she broke down crying against her. "It hurts so badly knowing that she was stabbed to death Re."

"I know...I know. First your father and his cancer now this. It'll be okay. You'll get through this just like you did before with your father. You're never alone as long as I'm around." Rena said sincerely to her

"I don't deserve you as a friend Re, you...You truly are a god sent. Thank you for always having my back."

"Always and forever. Now Gaku went to make you some tea. So let's get you into the house more. Have you had cake yet?"

Xana shook her head no. "I didn't dare when I didn't get to sing to you."

"It's fine, just knowing that you wanted to be around me is good enough for me. There's always tomorrow." Rena said with a smile

"Wait before I do let me get your gift." Xana said before she went back to her car and got a bag out of it.

She then went back to the apartment and handed it to Rena with both of her hands. "Happy birthday Re. I hope today wasn't too bad."

Rena opened the bag as her eyes lit up seeing a very large fluffy plush pig in it. She grabbed the pig and hugged it tightly placing her face in it. "Nope! This is the best gift you've given me yet Xana! Thank you so much!" She said happily

Xana smiled sadly "Of course, I just want you to be able to have a bit of joy in your life."

Rena grabbed Xana's hand and took her towards the kitchen where Gaku was waiting. Gaku smiled sadly seeing Xana. "Rena told me what you messaged her about, are you going to be okay?"

"No...but I'm trying to be." Xana said shaking her head

"Gaku lookie at the gift that Xana gave me for my birthday! It's so squishy!" Rena said happily

Gaku chuckled a bit at the hyper attitude of his girlfriend as Xana smiled at Rena seeing her so happy for once. Gaku looked at Xana once more. "You really knew what would cheer her up didn't you?"

"Mhm, Of course. Anything pig related that she has packed up is all cause I got it for her. Her family doesn't know her like I do. I see her as a little sister to me, so I'll do anything to make sure she is happy and has a smile on her face."

"Well that defiantly did the trick. Now I should warn you that while I was around Rena earlier, Tenn did make a fuss about you not being here. So he's going to be pissed when he finds out that you are here and you aren't going to be beside him."

"That child can deal with not sleeping beside me after the way that he treated Re. Re comes before him hands down all the time every time. She means so much more to me than he does and I don't think he gets that. Without her around me I would have off myself in the suicidal forest had she not talked me out of it." Xana said seriously

While the duo talked Rena got a piece of cake and gave it to Xana. "Here have cake. Cake makes things better Xana." Rena said with a smile

Xana let out a small chuckle. "At least for you it does. That and strawberry Ice cream."

"Hey you like strawberry ice cream too ma'am. Don't call me out when you're just the same missy." Rena said as she booped her friend on the nose.

Xana twitched her nose a bit before she ate the cake, she looked at the cake curiously. "what flavor is this? This isn't the usual flavor I would have thought you'd like for cake Re."

"Uhm...I honestly don't know. I never got to ask Ryu who bought it." Rena said with a shrug

"It's strawberry chessecake." Gaku said as he gave Xana the tea that he had prepared for her.

"Ahn, that would explain the odd texture I taste in my mouth." Xana said as she continued to eat the cake

Rena leaned against the counter with a Cheshire grin on her face. "It shouldn't be the oddest texture you've had in your mouth today Xana."

Xana's face flared up as she looked at Rena flustered. "RE! Why the hell would you say that?!"

Rena laughed and smiled. "Tell me I'm wrong...I'll wait."

Xana averted her eyes "I didn't want things to go that way today, I hate that he has made things be how they are between us. I never wanted things to get so complicated just because he can't keep his ego in his pants."

Gaku placed a hand on her shoulder softly. "He'll learn sooner or later. His birthday is in July, you can show him then just how you feel about how things are between the two of you."

"Saying we last that long? As it is I don't know if we'll last the week." Xana said sadly as she looked up at him

"Everything will fix itself in time, don't get hung up over every last thing Xana. You'll be just fine with that brat."

"I really do hope you're right about that Gaku." Xana said with a sigh
