Kyle's eyes widened as they pulled up to Xavier's mansion. "Wow!" he exclaimed. "This gotta be worth trillions!"
Amila chuckled, her eyes sparkling with fondness. "Boy, you're cute. You're Sawyer's little bro, right? You look like the cuter version of him." She extended her hand. "I'm Amila Quier. Nice to meet you."
Kyle's face flushed as he shook her hand. "Umm, hi. Nice to meet you too."
As they stepped out of the car, Xandria bounced over, grinning. "Heyyyy! I'm Xandria, but call me An, Xan, Andria, or Ria – whichever you like!"
Kyle's blush deepened. "Um, hi Ria. It's nice to meet you."
The two girls cooed over Kyle's shy demeanor.
Sawyer chuckled. "Why can't you be cute like this?" Xandria teased.
"I dunno, why can't you?" Sawyer retorted, smirking.
Zain snorted. "Damn, bro, Kyle's got the whole innocent vibe going on."
Alex elbowed Zain. "Shut up, man."
Xavier's staff welcomed them, offering refreshments. As the others settled in, the butler turned to Kyle. "And what would you have, young sir?"
Kyle hesitated, awkward. "Oh, um, nothing. I'm okay."
Sawyer intervened. "Bro, you sure?"
Xavier chuckled at Kyle's innocence. "Um, no, really—" Kyle started.
Sawyer cut him off. "He'll have apple juice."
The butler nodded. "Alright then. Have a nice stay."
As the butler left, Xavier sighed, wishing he had a sibling like Kyle.
"Man, your baby's super cute," Xavier said, giving Kyle a puppy-eyed look. "I wish I had a sibling like him."
The group erupted into laughter, except Kyle, who looked away, hiding a smile.
"What the hell, y'all mean? This face got girls spreading their legs," Xavier exclaimed, pouting.
Amila clarified, "Except us, of course."
Xavier grumbled, "Whatever."
Alex suggested, "Let's play some games, gang!"
The group enthusiastically agreed, except Kyle, who observed from the couch, hugging his knees.
Xavier excused himself to find his mom. "Hey, my beautiful mother."
His mom looked up from her book. "This boy, why aren't you in school?"
Xavier explained, "One of my friends got hurt, so I need you to work your magic soup."
His mom sighed, setting aside her book. "Alright, let's go."
As they descended the stairs, his mom asked, "Sweetie, call Miles for me, would you? He's been in his room too long."
Xavier's expression turned annoyed. "What the hell, that asshole still lives here?"
His mom replied patiently, "He's been living here for almost two years. You just don't notice because you don't like him for some reason. You know he could be the sibling you've always wanted."
Xavier walked away, frustrated.
His mom sighed, waiting.
"I'm sooo sorry, mommy. Mama, forgive me," Xavier said, returning with his signature puppy face.
His mom chuckled. "This child."
The group settled into their games, laughter filling the room. Kyle watched, still feeling a bit awkward.
Sawyer noticed and sat beside him. "Hey, bro, you okay?"
Kyle nodded, smiling slightly. "Yeah, just taking it all in."
As the afternoon wore on, Kyle began to relax, enjoying the warmth of Xavier's mansion and the camaraderie of the group.
But little did he know, this was only the beginning .
To be continued...
