Haleigh's Pov-
Im upstairs sobbing my eyes out while the family is downstairs celebrating with Lauryn and Katie for getting into Arsenal. There leaving soon which means it's just gonna be me here because I'm being left behind
'GET YOUR FAT ARSE DOWN HERE NOW HALEIGH AND COME SAY WELL DONE TO YOUR SISTERS!' My dad calls. I walk down the stairs giving them hugs 'congratulating' them with sympathetic looks from both. 'I'll make waffles' mum shouts out. Fun. Now I have to eat after sobbing my eyes out
Lauryn-"im just gonna talk to Haleigh upstairs"
'Go ahead darling, be careful with her'
"Whatever dad" I say as I walk upstairs following Lauryn
"What Lauryn, you wanna gloat to me about getting in? Go for it I'm all ea-"
"No Haleigh I want to apologise about me and Katie being favourite, we both know we are and we dont know why either"
"I domt even get to play anymore Loz, what am I gonna do"
"I know Hals, I know"
I sigh and she comforts me "it's okay hay, ive got you"
"Youll be gone soon Lauryn, you leave in 2 days, then what am I gonna do"
She shrugs sadly as we get a call to come downstairs. I walk back downstairs in silence messing around with the waffles on my plate.
'Come on Haleigh! Your not strong enough! You need to eat! My dad bellowes. I shuv a few pieces into my mouth before pushing my plate away going upstairs. Luckily it's 7'o clock now so I can go to sleep then see Miss Quinn tomorrow. I cry myself to sleep.....
When I wake up in the morning there's a note: from Katie and Lauryn. 'Hey kiddo, we didn't wanna go like this but you know what dad's like. He's made us leave this morning im so sorry we couldn't say goodbye. We've found you a new club which I'm sure you'll shine for. We miss you already Haleigh. Love you lots. Katie and Lauryn xx
I fall to my knees in tears, they left me, left me through a note. A note. I get myself ready for school and start walking to school, my face stained in tears hopefully no one will notice. I've got my hood up, my bag on my back, my hair in a state. They left, they fucking left with no goodbye. I get to school instantly bumping into Miss Quinn.
Miss Quinn-"hey hails"
I nod unable to form words "hails? What's wrong?" I shake my head "hails talk to me, your noticeably upset" I shake my head again she then she tells me to follow her to her room "hails what's wrong"
Haleigh-"my sisters left me, to go to Arsenal, they got scouted and I didn't, my dad's told me I have to stop playing because I'm not good enough, tells me I'm fat but not strong, my sisters, they...they left me with a note to tell me they've gone, I dont know what to do miss" im sobbing now
Miss Quinn-"oh hails, im so sorry, what lesson have you got now?"
Haleigh-"double english"
Miss Quinn-"scrap that, you can stay with me okay"
Haleigh-"really?"
She nods "thank you miss"
For the next 2 hours I sit in Miss Quinn's room talking about whatever comes to mind, honestly I didn't think I'd get attached to a teacher but here we are. The clock hits break time and I walk out her room 'NO COAT HALEIGH!' I smirk as I walk out going to find Lexi and Grace. Them two are my friends, I speak to other people but them ones are my friends. Break goes quickly and now I have maths and then French. Maths isn't too bad my teacher is quite funny but honestly French. I hate French. My teacher is like a gremlin, she looks alien looking and her voice is irritating. Ugh. I walk past miss Quinn's room not knowing she's seen me all I hear is 'HALEIGH!' I stop in my tracks walking backwards 'GET THAT COAT OFF!' I smirk as I slowly take my arms out 'MOVE IT NOW!' I smirk as I walk out putting my coat back on heading to my maths room. I lineup and wait for my maths teacher. Maths goes quickly but now it's time for the dreaded French. I decide to go past rm1 miss Quinn's room to see if shes teaching. She is ffs, looks like I'm off to French, I do another few laps of the corridor before I decide to go in. FRENCH DRAGS! But now it's lunch. Lunch of course zooms by but now! I have Miss Quinn for geography and thrn I have to go home... Geography goes far to quick for my liking. 'Right off you go guys' I take purposely long to pack all my things away as I don't want to leave. I hate being at home.
Miss Quinn-"hails why aren't you going home?" I shrug "you don't want to see your dad do you?"
I shake my head
Haleigh-"especially not without my sisters there"
Miss Quinn-"that's okay, im sure you'll find a new team yeah?"
I shrug picking up my bag "see you tomorrow hails"
I walk outcher door and head home....
At home my mum has dinner waiting for me, no clue why.
Haleigh-"mum?"
'Thought I'd make you food, your dad is finding you a new team'
"Really?"
She nods with a plastered smile
"Why did Lauryn and Katie leave so quickly"
'They had to, now eat and go upstairs do some homework or something'
I go upstairs and start on my Geography homework....
