For the Four of you, it'd now become a weekly tradition that every Friday, you would attend a restaurant in all of each other's companies. By which, Yuji would often end up paying after being constantly reprimanded by Nobara- that in her words "The man should always pay".

Ordering a simple soy flavoured ramen with some vegetables, you had respect and yourself did not wish to hurt the poor boy's bank account. The brown haired girl however.. had no shame whatsoever.

In front of her right now was a glorious spread of sushi, onigiri, a large bowl of steaming ramen, tempura, and tanghulu. Which without lying, looked absolutely mouth-watering- and she'd never failed to refuse to share with Yuji despite him blowing his money down the drain.

"Nobara why do you always make me pay?! Why not Fushiguro?" He pointed, pointing at the nonchalant male snacking on his simple vegetable noodle soup.

Megumi having been disturbed whilst eating over pointless bickering frowned, "Leave me out of this."

A quiet laugh slipped from your lips like a melodic tune as the scene played out, nothing could really replicate how warming and delicate these moments were to you. These small gatherings together made you feel more love than ever did your own parents.

Suddenly, your phone began continuously ringing and buzzing brazenly in your pocket- leading you to place it in your hands as your eyes scanned meticulously the unknown number ringing you.

"Hey [reader] who's that?" Yuji pointed at your phone, noodle hanging halfway down his lips before he slurped it entirely with a smacking-popping sound and making a playful face, "It's not your boyfriend is itt?"

Eyes having expanded like saucers, you let out a massive "Huh!?" At even the notion, "Not at all! I have no idea who it is. It's a private number."

"Ooou it could be a scammer! Pick up!" Nobara grinned, mouth full of chewed up mush as bits flew out, whilst forming words barely coherent.

"Gross.. close your mouth when you chew." The black haired male's nose wrinkled in distain, finding it hypocritical how she'd always talk about other guys never finding a girlfriend when she acted so grossly.

Before the woman could angrily clap back at Megumi, you answered the phone and brought it to your ear, "Hello..?"

Muttering some "Mhhm"s here and there and answering some questions to which the other three surprisingly didn't interrupt, the person on the other end hung up as Yuji, Nobara and lesser Megumi, awaited like excited kittens to hear what came next.

"Well.. we've been assigned to a mission. My first," You barely got out, stomach twirling at even the idea of fighting and actual curse, "Ijichi, I think? said he'll pick us up from here in about 20 minutes."

Yuji and Nobara groaned out loudly at the hearing of this, gaining surrounding people's attentions and giving the four of you discerning looks.

However for you, you felt awfully nervous for this being your first ever mission. Sure it'd already been a month of training, but figuring out properly your own reverse cursed technique was a huge pain. You did have one, you just couldn't control the output and it never appeared long enough for you to even know what it was. The training Gojo made you undergo was tiring, and for now you knew how to only do the basics. Were you even ready?

"Hey, you okay?" Megumi questioned while the other two seemed to be quarrelling amongst themselves like children.

Damn, were you that readable? Megumi despite being the quieter one was smart and he could easily tell what was someone was feeling, whether for the good or bad.

"I- Well in all honesty, I'm really afraid.. this is my first mission ever and I haven't even gotten my own cursed techniques under control." You admitted, hugging your arm and refusing to meet his dark blue gaze.

"Hey, don't worry about it. It'll be alright," Megumi spoke, turning to the side awkwardly (as typically he didn't know how to deal with even his own emotion nevertheless comforting others), "Sorry. Seeing as you have never really even encountered and fought a cursed spirit, I don't think they'll have assigned anything too strong for you to handle. And we're here too."

Small but there, a smile appeared on your soft pink lips at his reassurance. You could kind of just tell that consoling others wasn't really his strong suit. It made you appreciate him more, and feel sort of special he went out of his way to even ask.

"Aww look at these two, young love." Yuji mused, exaggerating his tone of voice which only made him sound like a mice being stepped on.

At the hearing of Yuji's absurd comment blush generously coated at your cheeks, "N-No.."

Yuji erupted in playful laughter, finding your flustered reaction amusing especially seeing as Megumi too, seemed flustered himself the moment Yuji's words entered his ear. Nobara however, stuffed her cheeks with food as much as she could like a squirrel harvesting nuts before hibernation- knowing she was about to go on another mission.

"Let's go wait outside, so Ijichi will see us." Yuji hummed, stretching and getting up as Nobara scrambled to retrieve all her stuff, with still a mouthful of food.

Feeling a shred more of newfound confidence, you smiled determinedly- ready to face whatever curse you were about to be brought up against. You were in the company of four other sorcerers! No. Even better. Friends.  It was not only your first mission, but your first mission with them. And for that, you were set on both impressing them and making use of your training; feeling as though you had to prove yourself and your place within Jujutsu society. And that, you would.
