(A/N: there will be the first paragraph from chapter one in here, in other words were flashing back to how coraline seen everything at that point in time rather than her diary perspective. Also there is a Sex Scene in this chapter. you have been warned)
In the forest, it is dark, hardly anything can be seen. There's something dark lurking and I cannot tell what. My white dress flows in the moons pale light as I try and feel what is sneaking through the trees I am It's prey, to be hunted, this moment is when I run. I feel the stabs of the twigs and rocks in my feet. The wind gets sharper as I run with the leaves of the trees stabbing my face, sometimes nicking it but healing immediately. I finally figured out what was behind me. The very thing I chose not to become, a zombie.
I kept running, my breathing becoming shallow, my vision becoming blurry, thinking becoming foggy and the world was spinning. I knew I couldn't go much further.
Is this the end?
Am I going to die in vain?
Will I never have a shot at a normal life again?
I could see my life flashing before my eyes, a flood of memories came back just as I thought it was the end I was pulled up mid run into a tree. That's when I passed out.
~flash forward 5 hours later~
I woke up, it was beginning to be daylight. One of my few human traits left is withstanding sunlight for short bursts of times, the zombie that chased me was gone, they hate the light. Then it dawned on me, there was a pair of hands around me. I turned to look and it was a man about my age, holding me, he saved me, he looked so peaceful as he slept. Dark brown hair falling into his face, muscular but not big, probably about 5'10 in height.
I didnt mean to wake him but i was rather startled at his unnatural beauty. I know vampires have their soulmates, could this be why my heart was pounding outta my chest?
Get it together Coraline, this isnt a time for romance. Theres to much at stake.
I giggled to myself to much at stake. Thats the funny thing about vampires you can kill us with a stake through the heart but honestly thats why i giggled anything thats living could be killed with a stake through the heart.
As the mysterious man heard my giggling he jumped awake. He had the most piercing blue eyes I had ever seen in my entire existence.
"Good morning sunshine bet you are glad you werent zombie dinner last night." He chuckled
I could feel it. My face was flushing the darkest red it could be. Keep in mind im a vampire. Our blood does not circulate so him having the ability to make me blush and my heart feel like it was actually pumping could mean only one thing. He IS my soulmate
I wonder if he felt it too and thats why he saved me... I wonder if he feels it now.
"Awwwww whats a matter zombie got your tongue, blush face."
"You..... You..... You can see me blushing?!?!"
His laugh and voice was like velvet, the perfect consistency of smooth deep calm cool and collected.
"You're so adorable! by the way I'm Zion."
"Im a woman not a child therefore I'm not "adorable" as you so blatantly put it, also my name is Coraline."
"Gorgeous name for a gorgeous woman."
"Well I'm getting out of this tree now. Nice meeting you!!!"
"Wait!" He called to me and caught my hand before i jumped. "Did you feel anything towards me?"
I blushed and even deeper red and sat back down. "Why do you ask?"
