A couple days slowly dragged by with no semblance of freedom in sight. Although Curtis was possessive and stubbornly reminded her that she was to be his mate, Moon still had her own worries to handle besides entertaining the serpent man's ridiculous notions. For starters, how she'd gotten here... wherever here was... and how she could get home, if that notion was even on the table.

Curtis continued to keep her close, rarely letting her out of his sight. He brought her food, guarded her, and even kept her safe at night by curling around her. He grew increasingly protective of her, his feral nature surfacing more often as he encountered other beastmen encroaching on his territory by a few miles, putting a swift end to them before retreating to his cave.

As Moon rested, her dreams were infiltrated by a radiant beauty basked in ethereal glowing light.

"I am the goddess known as Mother..."

The voice exuded warmth and Moon's entire body relaxed as the goddess communed with her further in her dreams.

Curtis watched her sleep, a rare smile gracing his features as he observed the peaceful expression on her face. He didn't understand her desire to always try and unsuccessfully sneak away from him, but he could sense that whatever she was experiencing would be overcome by love once they mated. He gently stroked her dark hair, marveling at its softness between his fingers.

"You will not get far in this world without a voice dear child... I give you my blessing, become my champion and thrive in the world of beasts... do not fear... the male you currently reside with will protect you come what may."

Moon's mouth felt incredibly hot, almost as if she'd eaten something overbearingly spicy.

"Go now, wake up and speak..."

Moon's eyes fluttered open, a gasp escaping her lips as she felt an unfamiliar heat spreading through her throat and mouth. She sat up abruptly, her hand flying to her neck. Curtis immediately tensed, hissing in concern as he saw her distress.

"What's wrong, little rabbit?"

She gasped haggardly and felt a soreness tingling down her throat before a vibration built up and something escaped. No. Not something. A voice. Her voice. For the first time in her life, Moon's voice was able to come out.

"Cur-tis.."

Curtis' eyes narrowed in shock. He had never heard her speak before, and the sound of her voice sent shivers down his spine. It was soft and melodic, like a gentle bell ringing in the distance.

"Rabbit..."

He breathed, his hand gently caressing her cheek.

"You can speak now."

Moon covered his hand with her own, leaning into his cool palm and closing her eyes.

"Moon... my name... is... Moon..."

Curtis' heart swelled with pride and affection at the simple declaration of her name. He carefully lifted her into his arms, cradling her like a precious treasure.

"Moon."

He repeated, his voice filled with emotion.

Moon braced against him, feeling the overly zealous touchiness from him as he held her so close, making her pert breasts squish together against his hard chest.

Curtis couldn't help himself, he was overcome with emotion and affection for his little rabbit. He buried his face in her hair, inhaling her sweet scent deeply. His heart pounded in his chest, and he could feel his snake half reacting strongly to her closeness, his tail writhing restlessly around them. His lips brazenly met her own and Moon stiffened up against the kiss, his forked tongue teasing across her bottom lip, eliciting an air of surprise from the young female before the kiss broke as quickly as it had begun.
