SELENE grinned widely as she handed the papers she answered to Holly. According to Duke Apollo, she's going to be her instructor for all of her lessons.

Holly is one of the trusted staff of the Duke. In the novel, even though she only played a minor role, she's one of the people that the heroine-Adeline-befriends.

Sa totoo lang ay halos pagpawisan siya nang makita ang mga tanong na nakasulat pagkaabot nito sa kaniya ng mga papel kanina. Wala kasi siyang kaide-ideya tungkol sa mga ito. Kung exam lang siguro ito sa school ay malamang na zero ang puntos na makukuha niya.

But it's all thanks to her character's natural knowledge that she managed to answer all of those questions without batting eye lashes.

Holly wore a satisfied look upon scanning the papers. "Impressive. As expected of the future Duchess," she smiled.

An awkward smile escaped on Selene's lips. The title sounds like music to her ears, but she knows too well that she wouldn't bear it for the rest of her life.

After her examination, they proceeded to her etiquette class. Bata pa lang si Selene noon ay nag-take na rin ito ng gano'ng klase. Kaya naman ay wala rin siyang naging problema rito. From the way she walks, sits, smiles, and talks. Even the placement and usage of the utensils in front of her. Selene has been honed as a perfect girl since she was a child. It's because she's determined to catch the Duke's attention.

"You're almost perfect in everything, Lady Selene. It seems that having a lesson is no longer necessary. But we are just doing it for formalities," Holly praised her once again. She actually looked kind. Despite knowing her desperate background in chasing the Duke before, she doesn't show any hint of hostility towards her, unlike the others.

Tipid niya lang itong nginitian at tahimik na sumunod patungo sa hall room. Ngunit napakunot noo siya nang kumatok si Holly sa pinto bago ito buksan.

"You may now go inside. The dance instructor is waiting for you."

Natigilan si Selene sa akmang pagpasok at gulat na nilingon si Holly.

"I thought you were going to be my instructor for all of my lessons." Even in the novel, Holly has been the overall instructor of Adeline.

"Yes, I am. Except for the dance class."

Bago pa siya makapagtanong ulit ay yumuko na ito at nagpaalam.

Napanguso na lang si Selene. Tahimik siyang nanalangin na sana ay mabait din ang instructor niya sa dance class. Kahit pa alam niya na wala rin naman siyang magiging problema roon.

Pagkapasok sa loob ay agad niyang namataan ang isang lalaki na nakaupo sa swivel chair habang nakatalikod sa direksyon niya.

"Good day. I'm Selene, the-" natigilan siya sa pagsasalita nang biglang humarap sa kaniya ang lalaki.

Gulat na napahakbang siya paatras. "Ikaw? Anong ginagawa mo rito?"

Ipinagdaop ni Apollo ang dalawang palad bago ipinatong ang baba niya roon. "It's about time for your dance lesson, right? So why do you think I'm here now?"

Napaayos naman ng tayo si Selene bago tumikhim. "You don't really have to teach me personally. I know you're busy."

Bakit ba siya biglang sumingit sa lesson ko ngayon? Hindi naman niya 'to ginawa sa orihinal na istorya.

Pinanatili ni Selene na blangko ang kaniyang ekspresyon. Kahit pa sa kaloob-looban niya ay nakikipagtalo na siya sa sarili sa kung ano ba ang nangyayari.
