As I walked through the bustling hallways of Kamome Academy, whispers floated around me about a particularly intriguing legend circulating among the students. I stopped by a group of girls who were animatedly discussing the mysterious Hanako-san. They huddled together, their eyes wide with excitement and fear.

"Have you heard about Hanako-san of the Toilet?" one girl exclaimed, her voice hushed as if mentioning the name might summon the spirit. I listened to their conversation from around the corner
"Yeah! They say if you knock three times on the third stall door in the third-floor bathroom and call for her, she'll grant you a wish," another chimed in, her tone a mix of disbelief and wonder.

I couldn't help but feel drawn into their conversation. They spoke of Hanako as if he were a magical being with the power to change lives. Curiosity bubbled inside me, urging me to learn more.

Eagerly, I edged closer and asked, "What's the catch? What does she want in return?"
"That's the thing! No one really knows. Some say she might take something precious from you," the first girl replied, glancing nervously towards the nearest bathroom, as if Hanako might appear at any moment.

The legend intrigued me; I had my own wish, and perhaps finding this Hanako would be the key to unlocking it. The idea of summoning a spirit thrilled me even more, especially since my heart fluttered for the popular Minamoto-senpai.

With this thought sparking courage, I decided I would summon Hanako-san myself. I could barely contain my excitement as I made my way to the old school building, the whispers of the legend echoing in my mind.

Arriving at the bathroom, I felt a rush of adrenaline, my heartbeat quickening as I approached the third stall. "Knock three times and call her name," I muttered under my breath, my palms sweating. As I knocked and called for Hanako, a mix of fear and hope enveloped me.

Approaching the third stall, I could feel the anticipation building within me. I remembered the rumors—the whispered tales about Hanako-kun and his power to grant wishes. Positioning myself in front of the door, I raised my hand and knocked three times. The sound echoed in the small space, and I hesitated for a moment, my resolve wavering. Then I called out, "Hanako-san, Hanako-san, Hanako-san, are you there?"

Silence wrapped around me, thick and heavy, making it feel as if the entire world had stopped spinning. Just as I began to convince myself it was nothing more than a trick of my imagination, a soft, almost ethereal voice floated through the air. "I'm here..."

The stall door creaked open slowly, revealing the darkness within. Yet there was no figure present—just empty space. A wave of disappointment washed over me as I realized it had been a figment of my imagination, fueled by excitement and desperation. Great, I thought, feeling a mix of embarrassment and frustration.

I really needed this wish to come true. The idea of turning to something supernatural for help felt absurd, and deep down, I hoped none of it was real.

Before I could second-guess myself further, the atmosphere shifted abruptly. A cool touch grazed my shoulder, and that's when I heard it—a voice, smooth and lilting, whispered softly in my ear. "Behind you."

A thrill of panic shot through me, my heart racing as I spun around. My gaze locked onto a figure standing casually before me. He had tousled hair, a mischievous glint in his eyes, and a faint, unfathomable aura that sent shivers down my spine.

It was Hanako-kun.
"You summon me-?" My breath hitched as I slowly turn around.

In that moment, I felt both terrified and entranced. Here she was, the embodiment of the legend, standing right in front of me. Instinctively, I go to punch the girl in the face but it goes right through. Out of fear, I curl down covering my head "No!" I yell. I can feel myself shaking.

I dropped down onto the dingy bathroom floor, my heart still racing with a mix of dread and intrigue. Laughter echoed softly around me, and I felt a sudden heat rush to my cheeks.

As I looked up, I saw her—Hanako-kun—floating down to my eye level, her expression playful and teasing. She tilted his head, her dark eyes scanning my face, and I could see the amusement dancing in them.

"Hey, now. No need to be afraid, it's just me," she said, his voice smooth and somehow comforting despite the bizarre situation.

But my inner thoughts were a jumble. "Ah—Uhm..." I stammered, my mind racing. I felt a strange dissonance. She....she's a boy! What is a boy doing in the girls' bathroom? The absurdity of the whole thing alongside my burgeoning panic only fueled my thoughts.

What kind of perv was this guy? He didn't even look real! I felt a mix of confusion and unease as I realized I could see right through him. He definitely wasn't an ordinary boy.

"Are... Are you a ghost?" I asked, courage wavering as I turned to him, my eyes misting with unshed tears. Facing a ghost—was that really what I'd done?

The realization of the supernatural flooded in, a shiver cascading down my spine as I awaited his response.

My heart thumped loudly in my chest, and for a split second, I half-expected him to vanish, another figment of my imagination.
But as I stared into his eyes, I knew he was very much real, and I was entirely caught in the web of this legend. My breath hitched as I felt both fear and fascination twining together in a strange knot within me.
