AYANOKOJI POV

Me {The boys from across all school years assembled in the gymnasium. Feeling uncomfortable, the first years immediately assembled and awaited further instructions without making a fuss}

Me {Not too long afterwards, someone who looked like the teacher of a different school year stood up on stage with a microphone in hand and spoke to the students}

Teacher [I assume you've all received the contents of this exam. As such, there will be no further explanation of it here. We'll now be forming our small groups, take some time to discuss amongst yourselves]

Me {As I casually observed the senior students, the partitioning of groups commenced and before even a few seconds passed, there was movement from within the first year classes}

Me {I thought we'd be here standing awkwardly trying to form groups. But class A blatantly started forming a massive group. Inevitably, they drew attention from their surroundings. Eventually, class A formed a single group consisting of 13 people. And then they made a declaration to us Class B and below}

Matoba [As you can see, we intend on forming a group with these members. And as you can see, right now we number 13. If two more people were to join us, we'd meet the prerequisite number. Now then, we're looking for people to join us]

Me {The one who said this was a student from class A named Matoba. If I remember correctly he was in our zodiac group back in August}

Sudo [Oi, Oi. Don't get ahead of yourselves]

Matoba [This is the best option for class A. I don't feel like this is a greedy proposal. So I'd like to ask again if anyone would want to join us in the next 5 minutes then we'll give preferential treatment]

Kanzaki [A time limit, preferential treatment?]

Me {Hearing these unjust terms the leader of class D intervened}

Matoba [If you join our group, we'll ensure there's no risk for that student. Katsuragi-kun will be our group's leader, but even if by any chance we somehow get last place then no one will bear joint responsibility.]

Sudo [Are you serious?]

Me {Some students saw some value in the special treatment. Individuals who just want to get this exam over with, would be the perfect student for this exam}

Matoba [If you can't decide within 5 minutes, we will withdraw our offer of special treatment. Meaning if we get last place you're on your own]

Kanzaki [I think it's a interesting proposition but I don't think there's a single student who trusts your word]

Me {It seemed like no one was going to take up on class A's offer until a boy from class B spoke out}

Hirata [What do you guys think?]

Me {Approaching me, Hirata called out to myself, Keisei, and Akito asking for our opinions}

Keisei [Do you mean Class A's strategy?]

Hirata [Yes. Surprisingly I don't think their proposal is bad. My number one priority is to make sure none of my classmates get expelled, and this is a sure-fire way that will limit that opportunity.]

Me {Unlike Horikita, who prioritizes class A, Hirata prioritizes the wellbeing of the students, kind of like Ichinose}

Akito [I think it's fine if we give them one student]
