The Moon (A Handsome Jack Story)

The Begining

Lilith walked up to a tied up Athena and Hyacinth, hands tied behind the poles they were both stuck too. Athena wasn't pleased and neither was Hyacinth, but who would be? In the middle of something important ansd here comes Brick and Mordecai to basically kidnap the two women all cause Lilith wanted to talk to them.

In reality they didn't need to do that, Hyacinth would've willingly come if the two men just said Lilith wanted to talk but since Athena put up a fight they assumed she wanted to fight as well. The hot sun of Pandroa beat down on the two women causing Hyacinth to squint in order to look at Lilith and Athena wasn't phase thanks to her hood.

"You two have some explaining to do tigers." Lilith said as she stood in front of Athena and Hyacinth, giving them a glance over but completely giving her attention to Athena. "Trained from childhood as an Atlas assassin with over a thousand susssful jobs to your name"

Lilith then turned her head over to Bunny and smirked, "ah Hyacinth the name given to you by Tina. The girl who's never shown her face or given out her real name til recently. Born to a clan of psychos a killing machine since birth, untouchable. You two damn near killed my best two men before they brought you guys in." Lilith looked back at Brick and Modercai as they leaned on eachother for support.

"She said we're her best men, that makes me feel good" Brick said as he hit Mordecai on the back of his shoulder causing him to say ow in the process. Athena and Hyacinth look at each other with small smiles before looking back over at Lilith who did not have a smile on her face.

"Here's how it's gonna go you two. I'm gonna ask you guys a single question. And if I don't like your answer both of you will die." Athena and Hyacinth look at each other before they both looked at Lilith, before either one could say something she spoke up again.

"Aim at the prisoners" She said to the crisiom raiders behind her, they raised their guns at the two women as Lilith spoke up once again. "Now I will only ask this once. Why?" She looked at the two women with a stern look wanting the truth on why they both did what they did almost 5 years ago. Hyacinth went to answer Lilith but Athena beat her to it.

"That is a long story. After the fall of Genral Knoxx, I wondered Pandroa as a hired gun. One day, I received a job offer from a low-level Hyperion programmer. "Help save the moon" it said. "Hunt a vault, be a hero" I didn't trust Hyperion, but I was to hungry to pass up a paying job." "And what did you find?" Lilith asked as she crossed her arms over her chest, popping a hip out to the side. "Violence, insanity. And a hero"

~flash back~

You took up the job offer on Elpis, Pandroa's moon. Trusting Hyperion was a huge risk but you were willing to take it, needing the money you figured this job wouldn't be so bad. It didn't sound too bad it seemed like an easy job, but you didn't wanna jugde or trust Hyperion so easily.

It is a backstabbing company after all. But as of right now you were putting all your trust in this janky ass rocket with four others with you, who seemed to take up the job offer as well. For the most part everyone sat in silence, the only noise was the sound of the rocket rocking and what seemed like bandits outside the rocket but that wasn't anything new.

The silence was soon interrupted by the claptrap, "why hello new friends my name is CL4Ptrap." You and the others looked back at Claptrap and everyone rolled their eyes. "What are your guys names?" He asked wanting to befriend the people who were on the same mission as him. "Athena." The girl with a short purple bob answered, she held a shield and a hoodie over her head. "Nisha." A cowgirl spoke up, her accent thick,her bangs covering one of her eyes.

"Wilhelm" a ruff looking man spoke up, he was buff and tall, a cyber eye replaced one of his eyes. They all looked at you and waited for your answer. "Hyacinth." Short and simple you stated, your voice sounded robotic due to the voice changer you installed in your mask. Nisha and Wilhelm soon buster out into a laughter.

"Hyacinth?? Why Hyacinth? What are you a little flower girl?" Wilhelm said between his laughs, Nisha double over from laughing so hard. "A 10 year old did give me my name." You rolled your eyes but wasn't seen due to the mask you wore. "I wonder why." Nisha spoke up causing Athena to shake her head and claptrap patted your knee to try and comfort you. Your outfit covered every inch of your skin, head to toe literally.

(A/n: I'm too lazy to give an actual description so instead of the hat is a pair of metal bunny ears and Hyacinths covering the legs pads)

The rocket started to rock and shake more, the bumpy take off was just about to begin. But of course what's Pandora without a couple of bandits and psychos trying to ruin your plans. The came through the top entrance of the rocket causing everyone to turn around, they soon charged at you guys and everyone soon got to work. Athena threw her shield taking two bandits out, Nisha got some headshots in, Wilhelm jumped over his seat towards a bandit. His foot landed on the bandits chest causing the bandit to hit the floor.

He lifted up his head and shot the bandit in the face. Claptrap somehow turned into a wizard and was able to somehow kill the bandit. Unfortunately as you were about to take a shot, the rocket lift Pandoras atmosphere causing everyone to fall to their knees. Your gun slid across the floor out of your reach, you and the bandit looked at each other as you both scrambled to grabbed your weapons.

You grabbed your gun and laid on your side and shot the bandit before he could even breathe. Before anyone could take a breather, the emergency lights started to go off, making the room red. Everyone looked at eachother in what seemed to be fear but accepted their fate.

"If Lost Legion hadn't ambushed Helios Station, everything might have gone in a different way."

As everyone braced themsleves for impact from the missel heading their way. Claptrap hugged Athenas legs, Nisha and Wilhelm nodded at eachother, and you gave everyone a pat on their shoulers. As the missel came into connect with the rocket, everyone flew around the ship, spinning around with the other items inside the ship with you.

Just like that everything went blank and slient.
