Meeting Him

There was ringing in your ears making you come back to consciousness, a groan escaped your lips but it came out as robotic. You looked around at the sight around you and noticed everyone managed to survive the crash landing. With the groans from others, everyone slowly stood up and looked at each other, slowly preparing themselves for what is about to come.

"Look another Claptrap like me but blue." Claptrap said making everyone look over at the blue Claptrap. As he approached the group he spoke in the same annoying vioce, "Hellooooo vault hunters, thank you for answering Hyperions summons. Unfortunately Helois station is under attack by insane Dahl military forces. Please take these echo devices I am giving to you." The blue one gave us all our own echo devices, you put yours on on your belt against the right side of your hip.

The echo device took its time to connect online making a dinging one once it was done. "Now follow me. I will take you all to your contractor." The blue one started to roll in the direction he wanted to take us. Claptrap had no hesitation to follow him but the rest of us hesitated badly, sharing glances as we slowly followed behind the two.

"So why the vioce changer?" Nisha asked you as she walked a little a head, but looked over her shoulder awaiting for your answer. You shrugged and looked over to the side to see all the troops fighting against eachother in the distance.

You looked back over at her and spoke, "keep my identiy hidden, if anything were to go wrong with my life and I needed to started a fresh one. People will only this version of me." "That's actually smart." You gave Nisha a nod appericating her comment.

"That doesn't explain the name Hyacinth." Wilhelm spoke up as he glanced at you. "The name was given to me by a dear friend, well a child in fact. She's like family." Wilhelm nodded as you finished speaking. You guys soon appraoched your first detour of troops, with a glance at everyone, you guys soon got to work. Taking out every Dahl soilder that crossed paths with you guys.

After what seemed like forever but was only 30 minutes, you and the group finally entered the room where the person requested your help. The claptrap that helped you guys was shot and Nisha quickly killed the solider.

"Did that claptrap die?" A vioce said through everyones echo devices, everyone looked confused before the same vioce came through again.

"Ha! Awesome! Are you people the Vault Hunters I hired?" "We are." You said back to the voice. "What's up with the robotic vioce?" the voice said back before shooting could be heard in the backgroud.

"Actually nevermind that just get your freaking butts in here and help me!" The line went static before we all entered the room to see a single man shooting at the Dahl soilders that surrounded him. You gave him some props atleast he was trying to hold them off.

"Help! Lots of help! I have no idea who these asshole troops are or why they got a murder out for the space station! But they've got me pinned!" He yelled at us as he took cover from the falling bullets before standing back up and shooting at them once again.

But to his luck, they stormed him before one punched him square in his jaw making him hit the ground. They started to jump him, kicking and hitting him. You turned the other way to held back a laugh, Athena shook her head in disappointment before going into the fight. Nisha and Wilhelm shared a chuckle with you before heading into the fight as well.

You weren't sure where claptrap went but assumed he was either hiding or getting jumped as well. The fight was fairly easy only cause with the amount help you had. Everyone was actually a hell of a good fighter, no wonder why that man hired you 4 plus claptrap.

"Hey could one of you help me up?" The man asked in a raspy tone, he was definitely fighting for his life. Athena was the one to help him up as she got there before any of us. We stood in front of the man as he spoke up and looked at us.

"Woah...aren't you guys a sight for sore eyes." He looked us all up and down, taking in the appearances of the group he hired. "I really know how to pick them huh? I'm Jack." He said with a slight smirk, crossing his arms over his chest.

He was around 6 foot maybe closer to 5'11, one eye was blue and the other was green. Which you find pretty cool, heterochromia was a neat thing in your opinion. His hair was neatly and perfectly combed not a single piece out of place. He wore jeans, a yellow shirt with a big H on it and a jacket, and his shoes had a small heel.

He was attractive to say atleast, something that was rare these days. Everyone began to introduce themselves one by one til it finally got to you. "Whats your name buttercup." Jack asked with a slight flirt in his tone, titling his head to the side in curiosity

"Hyacinth." "Woah you're the one with the robotic voice changer. Cool." You nodded, "thank you." "I just know your story is cool." He smiled as he pointed a finger at him. "But that's for another time as of right-" He was cut off by someone frantically running up to us.

He looked just like Jack? You titled your head to the side in utter confusion and everyone seemed just as confused but Jack. "The real Jack....not the fake one....reporting for duty" He said completely out of breath.

Jacks face lit up with excitement, "hey I'm body double finally arrived. Wow...you sound...really attractive. Distractingly so." "Does he not know what he sounds like?" Athena whispered to you making you snicker quietly.

The body double let out a nervous laugh as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Why a body double?" You asked out of pure curiosity. "If people are trying to kill me they kill him not the real me." Jack said with enthusiasm.

You nodded as you glanced at the double, he gave a shy wave and you returned the wave. "Anyways being shot at is fun I've never been shot at before buuttt back to it we have important business to attend to people." Jack said he tone changed into more of a leadership way.

"Look, these crazy bastards attacked Helios after I sent for you guys. If we can drive them off we'll be free to go after the vault on the moons surface." "What's so important about this Vault?" Nisha asked, basically asking what's been on everyone's mind.

"Ah power." It was one word but it send shivered down your spine, you glanced over at Athena and she held the same expression as  you did under the mask. "I like the sound of that." Nisha said as Wilhelm agreed, the body double seemed to have no reaction.

Jack started to ramble on about shields and turrets, Nisha and Wilhelm seemed to be already glued to his side as they stood besides him. You looked over at Athena, "is this gonna be a good idea?" Athena looked at you, "I don't wanna make such a big judgement yet, it's still too early. Let's see how this goes."

You nodded in agreement but felt bad that you would make such a judgment on a man you barely know, but the way he said power didn't sit right with you. Maybe he's just in over his head.
