The door slams open to the mansion waking us all up

"stay here," Gage says in a protective voice

I see everyone rushing to find out who is here at five in the morning

"it's for you Mia" Cora comes running into my room

"But Gage told me to stay," I said

"It's your dad Mia your mom is badly hurt and so is your brother David," she says

I jump out of bed and run down the steps

"How did you find me here" I ask

"Mia is that important right now you need to come we may have to say goodbye to your mom, David they said should be fine and he is already awake but your mom is getting worse by the second" he snipped at me.

"do not speak to Mia that way" gages voice rang out with anger

"I'm sorry lord gage but I need my daughter to come with me," he says

"that is up to Mia and if I were her I wouldn't go after all the shit she told me so watch your tone with my wife-to-be," he says even angrier

"I thought they just took you in for some reason not that you were getting married," my dad said

"well maybe if you were better parents and gave a fuck to answer my phone calls seeing that I've called you fifteen times since I've been here this past month," I said

"Watch that tone with me I am still your father Mia," he says

"a pretty shitty one" Gage adds and I laugh

"come with me Mia so you can say goodbye," he said now getting frustrated

"no I'm good tell her I said she could burn in hell now bye bye and next time make sure you call before showing up," I say pushing him out the door and closing it

"you handled yourself very well Mia that training must be doing you some good" Axel smiles before turning around to head to his room

"thank you sir" I smile at Gage

"I told you to call me Axel we are family now," he says never turning his back.

"thank you, Axel"

Gage pulls me close to him

"you want to go back to bed" he asks

"yes I still have a couple more hours of sleep before I'm done feeling like a  zombie," I say

"Hey Mia can I talk to you" Enzo says walking up to me

"yeah let's take a small walk," I say

We get into an empty room

"what's up," I ask

"I enjoyed our week together last week I was just wondering what my chances were of getting to do that again," Enzo asks.

"let me be upfront with you that week made me start to fall for you but I've also started falling for Liam and Gage it's a mess and I'm a mess and I have only five months to figure this shit out," I say frantically.

"I have an idea maybe you need to take a day away and sort through everything," he says

"I'd have to talk to Gage about that," I say

"gage has some out-of-town meetings next week that would be the best time to go," he says

"I'll think about it," I say

I walk up to gages office and knock on the door

"Yeah," he says in his strong masculine work voice

"I was wondering if I could go out sometime soon just to clear my head," I ask
