There was only rain pouring endlessly through the tiled clean floor. The sky was smoggy in grey, with the empty lines of modernist slick beds, near a small pool of water. The water didn't match the weather, unsettling my mind, and the neatly plants near the end of the bed made me think it isn't what I signed up for.
I dashed around, yet my legs forced me to walk slowly, ever so more into another building for safety. Yet each step I took, the surroundings seem more unfamiliar than before. A cascade of shelves; ones that you would usually find in a grocery store, empty but abandoned.
The walls were a dark color, I never understood what exactly what color of the wall is, my mind refuses to comprehend it. My eyes settled to a group of people, but their faces were unrecognizable as I couldn't look up to their faces.
My hands ( are they even my own hands? ) reached out towards the ragged ground somewhat red, or blue.. I reached in, taking a bag of food. But it sinked out into a void, never to be seen again.
My body acts against my blanked mind, walking away from the room to a hall, now filled with the darkness that surrounds the space. No one was there.
I felt myself slipping into the attic, in the yellow wallpaper walls, not knowing what direction I was going. I looked up, seeing a large face resembling a human or so I thought.
It screamed towards me, but I couldn't escape out, itself dragging towards me. My eyelids closed shut, and the screaming stopped. Silence. Pure Silence.
I couldn't tell If I was still drowning in darkness. I see a man, the face blurred, yet I understood his presence. I followed his footsteps.
The endless lights of whiteness blinded my view, It was a large facility, similar to a long lost game beforehand, but I could see the lines of yellow stripes up to the top of the walls.
The landline was attached to the top of the floor, my arms forwarding my way through the middle of the facility. Turning around, the man was standing in another platform, in a lab uniform. But there was a strange creature following my movement on the landline.
A pink mass of tendrils, not resembling any creature on earth, but it was shaped like a brick, one of its branches was attaching, sliding across eerie.
I held onto the landline, knowing that there was no way down or up, seeing it grow closer to me. The pink tendrils were visibly stabbing my whole leg, like scissors, poking infinite holes throughout my skin and human flesh.
I wanted to scream, escape from this hellish nightmare, but I knew this experience wouldn't end until I prevented myself from getting victimized from being played like a beat up toy for strange aliens to play with.
My hands, slowly let go of the landline, unable to feel any pain no longer, my own reality is shattered and gone. What is reality? Am I real? Do you even exist? Are you alive? Is this a nightmare or is it my own reality that you can't be in?
I fall into a hallway, an endless stream of wooden floors and furniture all tied together fashionably. My leg is visibly wounded, yet it is strange that I couldn't feel pain no longer. A purple plant, one I have stepped apon of my arrival to exit from exiting the landscaping hotel.
It acts as a squid, wrapping itself around my wounds, yet it looks as a sea creature, grotesquely designed to keep me stuck to itself in its roots. I fell to the ground, nothing to soften the blow on my shoulders.
I wanted to push away, but the plant kept its tight grip to keep me stuck from ever escaping the grasp. For a moment, I slowly reached out, noticing the wounds has been healed.
But my hands cut the plant into two pieces, its limbs squirming around like bugs, before my fists squats down the plant into the rug floor.
