The mercenaries were still happily watching Jiang Yu's live stream, completely unaware that the campsite in the live stream was exactly where they were.

The mercenaries watching the live stream were still worried. These thugs had guns, what if the beautiful man got hurt? Whoever hurt the beautiful man, they would shoot them.

The mercenaries didn’t know that the thugs they were talking about were them.

But, there was one observant person amongst these idiots.

“Boss, look, this live stream, it looks like our place.” A short, yellow man watched the live stream, and was the first to notice something was wrong.

The white boss smacked the man on the head, “How is that possible? The beautiful man is filming a reality show, how could he be in this godforsaken place?”

“Are you an idiot?  Think about it, it’s impossible. In my whole life, I haven’t even won a free drink from a lottery, how could I possibly meet the beautiful man in this wilderness?  This isn’t like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.”

The white boss, though he was saying no, was thinking to himself, if the beautiful man was actually near him, he would definitely bring him back to his country and treat him well.  There’s an old saying in China, “One lifetime, one person,” and he’d be willing to spend his whole life with the beautiful man, until the end.

Hearing the white boss say this, the others also calmed down their anxiety.

In front of the screen, the various bigwigs who were watching were frantically spamming the live stream.

“They have real guns, this is not a drill!  Not a drill!  Not a drill!”

“It’s an AK-74M assault rifle made in E-country. Jiang Yu is in danger!”

“Damn it! How did they get these prohibited weapons through customs?  What is customs doing?!”

Now, the number of viewers in the live stream had reached one hundred million, and it was still climbing. Even the platform couldn’t handle this massive amount of traffic. The topics “Jiang Yu,” “Love Cabin,” “Gun Smuggling,” “Beautiful Man in Danger,” etc. were quickly spreading online.

China had very strict gun control laws.  Even a hunter’s homemade gun would be confiscated,  let alone professional weapons, especially in this case, involving Jiang Yu, a gem of human civilization.  Jiang Yu had only been on the scene for a few hours and he was already the dream goddess of the whole country, maybe even the whole world.

He was a treasure of humanity, a treasure of China, a national treasure that cannot be lost.

Because of Jiang Yu’s influence, the situation was escalating into an international incident. Countless hackers dug up the identities of the mercenaries and posted them online.  Citizens of all countries spontaneously went to the embassies of these countries to complain and protest.  Some even threatened,  if Jiang Yu lost a single hair, they would blow up the embassy.

This group of people were committing murder, they were suspected of trying to murder the evolution of human civilization.  They were all sinners against the times.  This incident had already caused irreversible damage.  If anything happened to Jiang Yu, the subsequent losses would be immeasurable.

In the city center:

The city police station, all the police officers assembled.

Liu, the chief, looked at the special forces troops assembled in front of him with a solemn expression.

“Orders from above, I don’t care how you do it, you have to rescue the hostages safely, without a scratch.”

“Everyone, go now!”

“Yes!”

A group of police officers streamed out, heading towards the police cars.

Chief Liu also got into a police car and sped towards Mount Wangtai. Sitting in the car, Chief Liu was worried about the “Love Cabin” incident that was spreading wildly online. If anything went wrong this time, it wouldn't just be their police station that would be in trouble, it would also cause the country to lose the public's trust.

Were those people in customs just eating for free?  How did so many guns get smuggled in?

Thinking about this gave Chief Liu a headache. Then, he thought of Jiang Yu’s stunning beauty, which could rival the most beautiful faces throughout five thousand years of history. Even he, a police chief for decades, couldn’t help but feel a pang of worry.  Thinking about Jiang Yu possibly being kidnapped by another country, or hit by a stray bullet in a firefight, made his heart ache.

For a moment:

The entire city, as well as police stations in nearby provinces, mobilized immediately, heading straight for Mount Wangtai.

Lu Bai quietly returned to Jiang Yu's side. His low voice echoed in Jiang Yu’s ears, “There are seven of them, they all have guns. The director crew is fine, they’re just tied up on the ground, guarded by a foreign man.”

Hearing that the director crew was safe, Jiang Yu’s heart, which had been hanging, finally settled.

Lu Bai continued, “There are four men huddled together looking at their phones. It was too far, I couldn’t see what they were looking at.”

“Two others are patrolling the front and back of the camp.”

Hearing this, Jiang Yu’s heart sank. He said coldly, “Director Wang and the others were tied up, and they were thrown on the ground. It’s freezing cold, I wonder if they can handle it.”

“Li Ge, call the police first.” Jiang Yu said to the cameraman in a low voice.

“I already did.” The cameraman immediately replied.

Jiang Yu nodded and was about to say something.

From a distance, Jiang Yu suddenly heard a high-pitched whimpering sound.  Jiang Yu followed the sound and saw Director Wang crazily yelling at the white man with a gun. Director Wang’s mouth was taped shut, so he didn’t know what he was saying.

The white man didn’t even look at him. He just raised his gun at Director Wang and the others. If they tried to run, he would shoot them. Director Wang was still yelling, his voice was very loud, as if he was reminding Jiang Yu and the others not to get close to this area.

The white boss, watching the live stream, frowned. This old man, why was he as noisy as the old man yelling frantically on the live stream?  Such a nuisance.

At this time, the mercenaries still hadn’t realized that Jiang Yu was watching them.

“He won’t even let us watch the live stream.  John, knock him out, he’s too loud.”

With a single order, John directly hit Director Wang with the butt of his gun.  He had been annoyed by the old man for a long time.  Plus, he had to watch the hostages, he couldn't watch the beautiful man on the live stream.  The old man was so annoying. If it wasn’t for the boss saying they would kill him later, he would have already beaten the old man to death.

Jiang Yu saw this, frowned, and looked at the fallen Director Wang. Jiang Yu was filled with anger.  Whether it was in his memories or now, Director Wang had always been kind to him.

"These people must be after me."

Jiang Yu clenched his fists. He felt a deep sense of self-blame.  He could sense that these people weren’t targeting Director Wang and the others, so it had to be him.

Lu Bai pulled Jiang Yu’s clenched hand open, afraid he would hurt himself. "Don’t blame yourself."

When Jiang Yu said these murderers were after him, the whole world erupted. The headlines quickly changed to “Mercenaries Attempt to Murder the Cultural Treasure of the World!”
