I see your glance shift
When her presence is felt.
You smile unknowingly
And pretend you're unfazed.
But my heart skips a beat
And sinks in despair.
I take a deep breath and feel myself ,
overcome by Madam Jealousy.
She burns my conscience
& gaslights me into hating her presence
Her friendly smiles and touches
Speak so much more than
Your good friend's tag
The heart that you say
beats for me,
tells a different story
''I've moved on" are your words
No. Your mind doesn't agree.
So then how can you tell me
I'm your love? when
your love isn't for me.
Crumbling inside,I force a smile
to hide, what I truly mean.
If your heart really knew mine,
you wouldn't be so clueless
About my fading peace.
Both your souls are tied by destiny
And mine is there to link
I wish this wasn't true
But you were always hers
& Never mine to keep ...
