Chapter 1 - Dr. Jennie Kim

In the heart of the nation's capital, a renowned private hospital bustles with people of means seeking its services. Every private hospital maintains good relationships with the public hospitals, cooperating whenever necessary. Sometimes, private hospitals even request the assistance of specialized doctors to treat their patients.

Dr. Jennie Kim, the deputy head of the dermatology and beauty clinic at St. King Hospital, greets the nurses and assistants with a smile, as well as the many patients waiting for her services.

Her beauty, with a sweetly attractive face and fair skin like milk, quickly makes her the darling of the department despite having joined just three months ago. She returned to take care of the dermatology and beauty clinic as per the hospital director's orders, and as the youngest daughter, she was expected to continue the family's hospital legacy, even if she was reluctant.

St. King Hospital is a Kim's family business. Her father, the director, her eldest brother, and her older sister all work in administration. The family hopes for Jennie Kim as the next director, even though she chose to specialize in dermatology after an internship for three years at a public hospital.

Her desire for independence led Jennie to pursue a scholarship to study abroad immediately after graduating in dermatology at the age of 27, earlier than most due to her exceptional abilities.

The freedom of life abroad, filled with smiles, laughter, and fun, made Jennie choose to work there after her studies. However, a heartbreaking, unrequited love brought her back to her family's wishes.

As she prepares to see her patients, Jennie sets her coffee down on her desk. Though her workload isn't too heavy, she believes in giving her all. She gazes at the white coffee cup with a calm expression.

Once, she admired the person who made her coffee every morning, who playfully warned her not to compliment others unless they fall for her charm. Even if she doesn't want to drink coffee, she can't help it, much like her heart, that sometimes still thinks of that cruel woman.

Jennie smiles at the slender woman with a beautiful face, wearing expensive sunglasses and a cute dress that fits her figure. As the sunglasses are removed, the doctor smiles again, recognizing the beautiful woman who has visited for consultations and beauty treatments several times.
