Chapter 1

From the first moment this didn't convinced me.

I dont know why or how. But the exact moment when I put down my suitcase on the grass and I looked at the building, I felt a chill as if someone had stuck me an ice cub down my back.

But apperantly i was the only to feel this way.

-Dude!!! This is awesome!!- exclaimed Alex, opening his arms like he was king Christ(t/n: King Christ or cristo rei in portuguese is a big sculpture located Rio de janeiro, Brasil. Represents jesus) dropping all his luggage.

-It also has a pool!- commented gaby

-In the website photos the pool seemed bigger.

-Where are the other people?- asked Alfie, looking around.- Were we the first to arrive?

Alfie, Gabby, Alex and Lyra, that is me, a group of young teenagers who are going, happily ,spend two weeks of july in a summer camp where God knows where.

Alex is my twin brother, but we are nothing look alike. He is blond, with white skin like a wall from a classroom and he has this big black eyes that you can't distinguish the pupil. I have light brown hair, almost blondish that go down behind my back at a crazy speed, green eyes and a more tanned skin tone made by the sun, that can't be compared to Gabby's skin though.

Besides that, Alex is great at sports and I am terrible, except the swimming and athletics. I am a brilliant student who takes the best school grades without studing a page and Alex almost failed the year. I like blue, he likes green. Everything he hates I like, everything I think is horrible he worships.

We couldn't be more diferent, and we always end up fighting , but like all brothers are, the love is there although in our case a submarine with powerful spotlight may be needed to find the love.

Gabby is my best friend, since I remember we do everything together. She has strong hair, black like Alex's eyes, a chocolate skin and big and strangely clear eyes. She isn't a good student, like Alex, and I usually help her but she does have a natural talent do dance.

Lastly, Alfie. Alex's best friend. I will be very straigh: he is, definetly, the most good looking and atractive boy I have ever seen in my whole life. Brown and messy hair, a gold tanned skin, eyes almost green as mines, freckles on the nose, and a well constituted body the result of endless hours playing footbal/soccer with Alex. He is taller than me. He is like a cousin to me, spends the life in our home and the vacations too because Alex always invites him, and I always invite Gabby, so the four of us end up always being together.

But I left a important detail......

Alfie has a crush on me.

He never admited but it is pretty obvious and everyone knows. The way he moves, the things he say, only the blindest person in the world wouldn't notice. I admit the ideia of dating him it isn't bad at all.But as I said before, were are a family, and the ideia of dating him is very strange.

-It may have a swimming pool and beautiful buildings but it couldn't be more far away?- I rolled my eyes sarcastically.

- Lyra has a point- Alfie said, grabing his iPhone and stretching it and shaking it in the air.- There isn't network here.

-That's the purpose!- said my brother- Far away from everything and everyone, to breath the countryside pure air

-But it is TOO far away from everything and everyone. How many kilometres/miles are until the near civilization, 100?

Usually i am not that grumpy, but this is real: my summer vacation were ruined. I was supposed to go with a friend of mine from the swimming course , Trisha, and spend two weeks at her beach house. But at the last moment she woke up with fever and called saying that after all we couldn't go.
