The Days After

It has been a peaceful few weeks since I arrived on this planet, the best few weeks I've ever lived. Earth I believe. I've salvaged anything I could from the ship, luckily I've managed to find items to process the raw Energon. I have been driving around in the nearby areas, mostly just for the scenery. I've also learned of some of the life forms that reside on this planet. Quite a diverse bunch.

Driving through a rather dark, rocky landscape. Interesting to say the least. This planet is full of surprises.

Me: Hmm...What is that...?

I see something in the distance. It looks like a buried (Again, the same one Starscream found and made "clones" of himself and the one where the Immobilizer was found) ship. I drive towards it, transforming back into my bot mode. I walk towards it. The doors are closed. I attempt to try and press the button to open it. Surprisingly it works. I walk inside.

Me: A miracle by Primus that this even has power...

I continue to walk around. I eventually come across a door. I push another button to open the door. My eyes slightly widen in surprise. It's almost like it's a small command center. I walk inside the room, looking around it. I find a device on the floor and pick it up. I examine the device before pushing a button on it. To my surprise, it opens a Ground Bridge.

Me: Hmm...useful.

I set the device down somewhere for now.

I've looked around the entire ship, or well, part of it. No clue where the rest of it is or what it broke off from. It has useful equipment and information here, I take note of the coordinates, take the device that opened the Ground Bridge earlier, transform back into my tank mode, and drive off to where I've been temporarily staying. Near that cave, I found after I crashed landed. I reach my destination and transform again and then activate the device to open a Ground Bridge. I start gathering the items I made from salvaging the destroyed ship I landed with and take them to the buried one I discovered.

It took a little bit, but I finished moving everything to the new location, and now, if I ever need to, I have two safe places to go back and forth to. Hopefully, I won't need to. I go to the top of a canyon wall near the ship, sitting and enjoying the scenery. Despite how dark and gloomy it is in this area, it's oddly peaceful and quiet. I sit there in silence, only hearing my thoughts and the occasional gust of wind blowing. I start reflecting on my past actions...and the atrocities I've committed during the war.

Me: I pray to Primus that I can move on from that...I can only seek repentance from this point on.

I sigh to myself as I stand up and jump down off the top and onto the ground below and make my way back towards the buried ship. I push the button and go inside. The door closes behind me and it goes back to silence. I continue walking, my footsteps echoing through the ship. I head back towards the miniature command center, I guess I should call it. I stand in front of the screen and I decide to learn more about this planet and some of the creatures that inhabit it.

Fascinating. Truly, it is. So much more to this planet than meets the eye. So many species and so many variations of some of them. Like "Ants". So many different kinds, and some act completely differently than others. The Leaf cutters are one of the most interesting ones to me. And the aquatic life is as vast as the oceans this planet has. And then the dominant species of this planet. Humans. Strange creatures. Though, they remind me of my own. Despite how barbaric and brutal they can be, there is so much good they are capable of doing. A young species. Much for them to learn, and much to learn from them.

Me: All so interesting...

I decide that is enough for today and I step away from the console as it turns off and decide to rest for a bit. And mine some Energon tomorrow, so I won't have to do it when I desperately need it. Better to have it and not need it, than to not have it and need it. I sit against a wall and enter stasis, set to wake up the next day.

A/N: I do hope you are enjoying this story and I am sorry for not updating recently. Things tend to get busy when I least expect it, but I do have a question, should the protoforms make a return in this new story, or should they stay away? I'll leave that decision to you. I hope to get into a better habit of uploading more, but only time will tell. But once again, thank you for entertaining the ideas of my stories.
