THE KILLER

KIRK POV

This can't be right. That Harvey! He hit my head so hard with his fuckin gun. He's such a jerk! Now my head hurts so much.

If I hadn't found out, I wouldn't have done those things.

FLASHBACK BEFORE THE ENGAGEMENT PARTY.

Before pnam went home, Pnam and I were still talking. But because we ran out of snacks, I went to the kitchen to get something to drink. But I stopped when I saw Mom and Dad talking. I heard my name, so I didn't approach them and just stayed standing by the door.

"How are we going to tell Kirk everything? He's grown up, and we both know he'll be hurt when he finds out everything."

I peeked at them. "What do I need to know?"

"But? We can't give the company to Kirk." Dad complained, which made me frown. "And why?" My mind protested.

"What are we going to do? Tell him he's adopted! And that he's not worthy of an inheritance?"

It felt like I was slapped repeatedly across the face. "I'm adopted?" That was the repeated protest of my mind.

"Fuck! I'm adopted?" I whispered.

I saw the sadness on both their faces as they talked.

"Because I'm just adopted, I don't have the right to receive any inheritance? I-it can't be! No."

With clenched fists, I punched the wall.

"If I don't get an inheritance! None of them will get anything..." I angrily punched the wall again before leaving.

"Hey! Kirk? Where are you going?" Pnam called out, but he ignored her.

"What happened there?" Pnam asked herself.

Kirk angrily slammed his steering wheel and glared at the road.

"I'm going to kill you, Freya! Freen! All of you who are stopping me." His fists clenched. "Adopted? Ha! I'm not adopted!"
He sped up the car and slammed on the brakes as soon as he reached the bar, almost hitting other customers in the process. As he got out of the car, two guys blocked his path.

"Woohoo! Looks like you're trying to kill us today, bro.."

The tall guy said, Kirk couldn't control his anger anymore. He was trembling with rage.

"You're awfully quiet. What... you lost your courage?"

The guy said, holding Kirk's shoulder.

"Get your hand off me or I'll break it!" Kirk threatened the guy holding his arm.

"Wow! You're so brave... You almost ran us over, and you're the one acting tough!" The guy complained.

Kirk's teeth clenched in anger. He couldn't hold back anymore and grabbed the guy's hand, twisting it. The guy screamed in pain and fell to the ground, crying.

"I warned you! But you didn't listen.."

Kirk turned his back on them and walked into the bar, ordering a drink.

"Two glasses of tequila!" He ordered the bartender. As soon as the bartender handed him the drinks, he didn't waste a second and chugged them down.

"I can't lose my inheritance! I've been a good son to them... But in a flash, I get nothing!"

Kirk slammed his fist on the table, startling the bartender.
