Violets POV: *It's 6pm on a warm Sunday. My mom, fiancè and I are at an Italian restaurant called Buca Di Beppo. We're waiting for Noah's grandparents to arrive so we could be seated.*
Julie (Violet's mom): *Leaning in and whispering to Violet* So, tell me about his parents. Why won't they be meeting with us today?
Noah: Because they're no longer with us, Mrs. Parker.
Violet: Mom, That was rude.
*Julie stiffened when Noah mentioned his parents were deceased.* Noah, I'm terribly sorry for your loss.
*Noah offers a kind smile and nods with respect* Well, you couldn't have known. It's alright.
*Noah's grandparents make their entrance and greet everyone accordingly.*
Albert (Noah's Grandfather): *Enters the room with his big personality* Did you guys get a table yet? I'm starving!
Waitress: I can take you 5 now.
*She leads them to a wide booth where all 5 guests fit. They ordered a round of waters and their own individual drinks before picking up a menu and looking at the items*
Martha (Noah's Grandma): Have you guys eaten here before? What's good?
*Noah helps his grandparents navigate through the menu and eventually agree on what to order. The waitress brings the drinks and then takes everyone's order, then disappears again*
Julie: So, I suppose we should start discussing the wedding then. First off, I wanted to congratulate you both, so I got you guys a little something.
*She eagerly takes out a small box and places it in the middle of Violet and Noah. Inside the box were the original wedding bands of Julie and her beloved husband Mark.*
Violet: Oh mom, they're beautiful and you have dad's ring too? *I start welling up with tears*
Noah: These are amazing, Julie. Thank you so much. We'll take good care of them. *He rises from his seat to give her a gratitude hug.*
Julie: Thank you, son. Now don't forget to get them resized before the ceremony. I can't have them falling off your fingers!
*The group shares a small chuckle.*
Violet: So, let's get down to the details! Mom, did you bring the checklist?
*Julie rummages through her bag before pulling out an entire accordion folder and setting it down on the table.*
Martha: Wow Julie, you sure came prepared. *She chuckled and took a sip of her water.*
Julie: I just want everything perfect for my little girl... and my new son. *She pans over to Noah, and gleams.*
Violet: So I was thinking about the flowers. I really love Orchids but I know they won't be long lasting. What about sunflowers?
Martha: Don't you think Sunflowers are a little too bright hun? We can't have a plant stealing all your spotlight. How about hydrangeas?
Violet: Okay, this is going to sound cheesy but what if we did violet roses?
Julie: I have the perfect idea! What if we did white mini carnations? They're so beautiful, they have such a long life span and they aren't overbearing with the aroma.
Noah and Violet in unison: I love that!
*They smiled at each other*
*Julie jots something down on her notes*
Julie: Okay done. Now let's talk table centers. I saw this really cute vase idea on Pinterest and I think it would bring everything together.
*Albert leans in and whispers* I'll let you ladies figure out all the details but I just got one question. Will there be alcohol?
*Martha gasps and softly smacks her husbands arm.*
Martha: Jesus Albert, it hasn't even been 20 minutes in and you're already asking about the damn alcohol.
*Albert shrugs casually and pretends the entire thing didn't happen.*
Albert: Well, just make sure there's good food. That's what brings people together...oh and your union too, of course.
*The table shares another chuckle and the food finally arrives.*
Noah: I definitely didn't expect to be served that much food... Did we order wrong, Vi?
*The waitress continued to put plates of food on the table, practically covering the entirety of the table.*
Albert: Welp, I'm for sure having leftovers.
*The dinner was great and they continued to go over the details of the wedding. The sun began to set and people started to leave.*
Martha: Well, it was a pleasure to finally be able to meet you Julie. You have my number now so don't be afraid to call it. I'll do whatever I can to make sure my Noah has the best wedding of his life.
*Martha and Alfred stood up to leave. Alfred drops a $100 bill on the table and walks off.*
Noah: I'm not letting them pay for everyone.
*He reaches in his pocket to pull out his wallet only to find it missing. His heart began to beat rapidly and he looks over to Violet.*
Noah: Uh babe, I think I lost my wallet.
Violet: That's fine, love. I'll take care of it. We'll search for your wallet in the car.
*Violet sets her card down in the booklet and hands it back to the waitress. The waitress finished everything up and Noah and Violet said their temporary goodbyes to Julie.*
*Violet and Noah make it back to the car. Noah is a frantic mess, searching everywhere for his wallet. Eventually he finds it under the seat.*
*There's a yellow post it note sticking out from the side. He pulls it out and it reads, "See how easy it is for me to break into your car? Just imagine the things I can do to your precious little Violet."*
