❝...Shooting stars never fly for me
My heart's on Mars, kinda hard to see
But you know, you know I'll see you again You know, you know I'll see you
again...

Y/N walked aimlessly through the streets, her steps accompanied by the comforting weight in her arms. She carried a small cat, the warmth of its body providing a sense of comfort in the midst of her swirling thoughts.

Overthinking had become a constant companion to her, plaguing her mind with relentless thoughts and worries. She tried to focus on the present, on the sensation of the cool pavement under her feet and the soft purring of the cat in her arms, but the worries continued to plague her like an incessant background noise.

Y/N whispered her thoughts aloud, her voice barely above a murmur. With a gentle caress, she stroked the cat's head, her fingertips gliding through its soft fur.

"I suppose it's better to leave," she mused, her words tinged with a hint of resignation. "My goal was simply to prevent Hostel's downfall. But now, I'm not so sure."

Her footsteps fell softly against the pavement, each sound echoing in the quiet night, as if to punctuate the silence with a poignant reminder of her inner turmoil.

...You know, if I'm right..it's about time I'll send you there, today at midnight.

Y/N grappled with the words that echoed in her mind. The voice of the woman seemed to pierce through her thoughts, reminding her of the impending decision that loomed ahead.

She fought against the wave of uncertainty that threatened to consume her. She tried to cling onto the knowledge that the woman had bestowed upon her, but the future remained a nebulous and indistinct path in her mind.

"Alright.." She murmured while staring down, paying no attention to her surroundings and all.

"Can i say goodbye to the others?"
She spoke aloud, the words leaving her mouth almost on their own accord. Yet, even as she voiced the question, she knew the answer. She wasn't a fool; she understood that saying goodbye was dangerous, that it would lead to unwanted consequences.

With a sinking feeling in her stomach, she acknowledged the truth. She couldn't risk saying farewell. The others would surely interpret her departure as a sign of leaving, and that would only lead to more questions and more problems.

...You know the answer to that, dear...

Y/N felt a gentle breeze brush against her skin as she looked up at the sky, her eyes drawn to the nearly full moon that hung amidst the canvas of stars. The silence of the night was broken only by the soft sound of her own breathing and the occasional sound of the cat's purring.
