I don't know how it happened, but there are things my dad and I just decided we're keeping in their places without talking about it.
The other things got sorted out, just because they need to be. Chemistry books and notes, for teaching students with. Values classes materials, also for teaching students with. Food in the refrigerator. Kitchen supplies on the shelf. All the clothes.
But there was just an unspoken consensus that there were things that stay put.
The blue scrunchie on top of the earbuds holder (which is just a small Nescafe Gold container). The loofa and pumice stone for showering. That space in the towel rack. The sofa pillow. That block of notepad with the last few things she scribbled on it (my dad bought a new notepad block for his own use).
My mom's regular mug got converted into a pen holder but it was not getting disposed.
It's like she's just...somewhere else.
