Pov: Aerilyn RoseFuck. Fuck. No no no no. This is not happening right now! How am i going to sit next to Alexander with this?! This is huge! Right in the middle of the brows too! Shit, this is bad.
I try popping the pimple with my fingertips and it pops. Eww. I clean the place with a tissue but shit, it left a mark. Fuck you, academics! Its all these all nighters' fault. Just one more week Aerilyn. The finals are gonna be over in a week. Just one more damn week of enduring inhumane amount of studying sessions.
I take the necessaries and head to school. Today, we have Maths exam. I have pulled all nighters the last few days. Hence, the pimple. God, i hate being a woman.
I get inside the exam hall and sit in my place. Alexander is not here yet. The test papers will be distributed in a few minutes. Why is he running late?
As if on cue to my thoughts, the handsome boy wearing a black hoodie can be seen rushing inside with the other students. Speak of the devil.
Alexander walks towards our desk and sit in his place with a polite smile. After he organizes his stationery, he turns to me. "Hey," he speaks in his usual deep voice.
"Hi," i reply and smile back. I gather up my courage and decide to have small conversation with him before the exam starts. "Why are you late today?" i ask for the sake of conversation.
"Stayed up late last night to study, couldn't wake up to the alarm" he says, running his hand on his face. "I hate Maths and on top of that, I just got admitted to this school and the finals already started, i am not prepared for the exam at all." he adds.
He hates Maths? What a shame, i love maths."I am sure you will do great. Goodluck." i chuckle and he smiles back.
The papers get distributed and everybody starts to solve the problems. The whole classroom goes quiet as the murmer of students die. Again that silence which i hate with a passion. Why can't they put on a good song during exams?
An hour pass and i am finally done with the last problem. And as always, the first one to complete. I glance at the clock and see that around fifty minutes are left. I made it my routine to stare at Alexander after every exam finishes to kill time.
But this time, instead of the usual calm and collected Alexander, i am struck with the view of a stressed one. The questions weren't that hard. He really didn't study, huh?
I glance at his paper and see many wrong answers. Should i help? But cheating is so against my morals.
Finally, the bell rings and we all submit the papers. Love can really make us do wonders. Cause guess who helped someone cheat, for the first time in their life? Me! Am i proud of it? No. Would i do it for other students? Heck no. Alexander was an exception and i will happily do it for him again.
I was heading to my car after getting out of the exam hall but Alexander's voice from behind, stops me. "Hey, Aerilyn wait!" i turn around to face him and see him running towards me. "Hey, what's up?" i reply with a charming smile.
"Thank you...for earlier" he says, running his fingers through his curly hair.
I chuckle and reply "Don't mention it." Literally.
He chuckles softly too. "You know, you are my first friend in this school."My heart skips a beat as i look at him surprised. Friends? He thinks we are friends? Did i just get friend-zoned? Not really, its kind of better to be friends than not having any connection at all. Is this like a step forward then?
I snap out of my thoughts and decide to take a daring step. "Lets...exchange numbers then. Friends don't only hang out in school, do they?" i state, trying to hide my nervousness. You will always get flustered infront of your crush, no matter how calm and patient you are.
He chuckles and nods.
