Epiphany

Prologue

Maya's POV:

I woke up to the shiny sun and my cat Cassandra curled up next to me. I could say it was a normal morning, I am supposed to be starting 5th grade today, I am so scared no-one will want to be friends or even talk to me, I'm not good with people, I really wish I was because then I wouldn't have to have lunch at the bathroom or sit alone at school.

My mom's name is Sandra she's not very nice to me, there are some times she is and that's why I don't know how to label my relationship with her.

My dad's name is Mike he is really bad to me sometimes I feel like I'm just a burden for both of them, that if I didn't exist they'd be happy, that they'd be really happy without me in their lives.

Anyways it's getting late so I have to get ready for school.

30 mins later...

"Hi, my name is Ariel but you can call me Ari I'll be your teacher this year" Ari said.
The teacher kept looking at me I don't know why, maybe she knew my parents or maybe she  liked my Taylor Swift T-shirt.
"So I don't know all of you, so im gonna say someone's name and then that person stands up and tells me who they are" Ari said.

"Maya Miller" Ari said. omg she said my name I don't like talking in front of people what do I say? "Here" I said nervously "Tell me about yourself" Ari said. "Well my name is Maya, my parents are lawyers they're names are Sandra and Mike. I like listening to music and writing, my favorite artist is Taylor Swift and I'm going to one of her concerts in 2 weeks" I said then I sit down.

"Wow in two weeks, you must be excited, What's the name of the concert?" Ari said.

"The Eras Tour" I said without thinking twice, I knew everything about it and about Taylor, she is my favorite person in the whole wide world and she has helped me in such ways through her songs, when dad yelled at me and mom hit me, I listened to safe and sound and felt at home, I just couldn't explain how much Taylor means to me, not with words.

A/N: this is the prologue so it's short, actual chapters will be longer, this story is supposed to be 10 chapters long, don't forget to vote for more chapters also sorry if there are any grammar or spelling mistakes English isn't my first language. I will try to update one chapter every day.
