I used to think that Ilvermorny was hard, but as my parents' faces rushed further back and then disappeared I had to realize that I hadn't seen half the of it. This is not the first time that a y/l/n had gone to hogwarts. My grandparents went, my parents went. I was supposed to go first year but work took my dad to America so I just moved schools. All the friends I have at Hogwarts were in the train car with me. Now that's a very poetic way to say I am alone. Though, as people walk past I could picture someone coming in and asking if they could sit there. If I was anymore zoned out, I almost wouldn't have realized that somebody actually was.

"Hello. Can we sit in here?" a ginger boy asked. I nodded. I have never been to England before and I was honestly scared of what they'd think of my extreme american-ness so I stayed silent.

"Right then." The boy came in with his twin brother. I just looked out the window. I hadn't been doing anything else for the past hour. My mom made pack a book, but I couldn't care to read it. The boys talked amongst themselves and I listened in as a stared at the quickly moving forest.

"Do you think Snape will fall for the 'Ben Dover' attendance trick for the third time?" One snickered to the other.

"Well, he hasn't caught us yet." The conversation was so boring I zoned back out. Beside the fact that they were all in red, I could tell that they were Gryffindors. My parents were both in different houses. My mom was Ravenclaw and my dad was Hufflepuff so neither cared where I ended up.

"Excuse me." One of the boys said with a crooked smile.

"Hm?" I asked.

"Do you know the time" He said as he pointed to his wrist.

"Oh it's" I looked at my watch. " 12:22" I looked back up. Both boys had frozen and gone silent. "Are you two okay?" They looked at each other and back to me. Their stunned faces went to smiles as the one on the right said

"Are you American?" Merlin. I totally forgot.

"Uh. Yeah." They started laughing. My worst nightmare, ladies and gentleman. I tried to fix my face before they could see my fear.

"No. Sorry it's just I've never met an American before" He could barely talk over his laughter. I felt humiliated just for my nationality. "What's your name?" Oh Merlin. I wanna die because of two boys I don't even know.

Maybe if I only use one word sentences they won't laugh as hard. "Y/N." I was wrong. They laughed harder.

"Merlin. Im so sorry we-" This is why you people are banned from Croatia. "We don't mean to laugh." The laugh started to die down. "I'm Fred."

"And I'm George." The other one said. "What year are you going into"

"It's obviously not your first year." You know I think I've heard every sitcom every use the 'Finnish each others sentences' joke, but I've never seen it done. And with such sincerity.

"Third."

"Us too" Fred said. "So you're new. Where in America are you from?"

"Salem." The boys looked kind of confused. "Massachusetts." No change. "...Boston?"

"Oh cool! So you went to Ilvermorny?" yeah, no duh.

"Yes, I did."

"So you don't even have a house yet." yeah, no duh.

"No, I don't."

"I hope your with us. Because Gryffindor is the best." Fred said.

"That would be cool." I said. And at that moment I had made my first friends at Hogwarts. And though I didn't make Gryffindor, I always felt like it.
