This restaurant that Emma has brought us to is amazing with a capital 'A'! When we arrived they seated us almost immediately. Since all of the outdoor seating was taken we had to sit inside, which I didn't really mind too much. While the outside patio had all black coated metal furniture and golden fairy lights, the inside had all wooden furniture as well as an overall rustic look to it. The tables outside are circular with an umbrella sticking out the middle of it. A potted plant rests in not only every corner, but every windowsill as well. Meanwhile, the tables inside are squares, condiment bottles sitting in the middle of them. The white tiling contrasting the wooden tabletops and countertops. As far as scents go, the inside smelled no different than your average steakhouse.
"Excuse me, can we get our check?" Emma questions the waiter. He nods before venturing off inside of the building.
I glance at the time on my cell phone and my eyes widen, "Oh my gosh, I'm going to be so late!" I stress.
Emma rests her hand on my forearm, "Relax, babe. You can just get ready at my house." she says with a shrug of nonchalance.
"You wouldn't mind?"
"Duh," she scoffs, "otherwise I wouldn't have asked."
She does make a good point.
"Okay." I agree. "Thanks."
"Don't mention it. We're, like, friends now—That's what friends do."
7:41pm
According to the weather channel, it is going to be really chilly tonight. This means that we have to wear a white long sleeve turtleneck underneath our royal blue cheerleading tops. Our school's logo is printed across the front of our uniform tops in white. Our skirts are royal blue as well, the detailing being in white. All of us have long white socks and white cheer shoes which is good because none of us have to go out and buy a new pair. To say that I was jumping up and down with excitement when I first saw myself in the full cheerleading uniform would be an understatement—I was practically jumping off of the walls. I do not think that it fully hit me that I was a cheerleader until I saw myself in the uniform. To put it plain and simple, I never want to take this uniform off. They are going to have to pry it off of my cold, dead body.
"Can I use your hair curler?" I ask as I finish applying mascara to my lashes.
"Go for it, babe—What's mine is yours." the blonde responds from beside me.
While Emma finishes curling her ponytail I decide to double check that my hair tie is secure. Declaring that it is secure, I pin the matching royal blue ribbon over the hair tie. The moment that Emma finishes with the curling iron, I begin to curl my own hair. I end up curling it into large spiral curls.
"When you finish, we totally need to take pictures before we leave." Emma says from her bedroom.
"Totally."
Nine minutes and nine hundred photos later, Emma and I finally arrive at the school. I will admit that we struggled a bit to find parking due to people showing up ten minutes early. Anyways, it is a miracle that Emma is able to find a parking spot near the football field. When we park, she kills the engine to her car and unbuckles her seatbelt. I follow her lead and unbuckle my seatbelt as well. I remain in my seat when I see the blonde retrieve a tube of cherry-tinted lip gloss from her monogrammed cheerleading bag. She twists the cap off the tube and sits straight in her seat. Her eyes meet her lips in the rearview mirror and she begins to apply a thick layer of the gloss onto her lips.
I laugh, "Are you seriously applying lip gloss right now?"
The blonde smirks, turning to face me, "Want some?" she offers, holding out the red tube in my direction. I hesitate for a moment before accepting the tube from her outstretched hand.
