"There are multiple versions of ourselves. But only a few exist within us"

She was crying. her voice still hiding in her throat not daring to come out. Both of her eyes seeking a place in her room to lay her sight as all she saw Infront of her was horror. She could hear her heart screaming in pain, anger and vulnerability. Not being able to stand the pain, she fell down and finally opened her eyes which were still teary. Nothing was heard except the roar in her chest. Thinking it was a bad dream, she started to move on with her real life. Climbing back on her bed, she tried to slam her eyes shut again hoping to get some more sleep before the boring old sun showed up. Listening to the sweet lullaby of the pouring rain, she made love with her sleep again.

She woke up feeling the tail of her cat on her legs. Seeing her sleep so peacefully, she wondered how it felt like...

Moving to the kitchen she took a bowl and filled it with some milk which was all that was left in her kitchen.

"Hey willow"

She called out her cat to feed her. Willow meowed and tossed the bowl back at her. Willow already had her breakfast from the neighbor's dumpster and did not need the milk too. But for her, it felt like her cat was compelling her to eat. She wanted to believe it that way even if it wasn't the case.

She wore one of the few dresses she had and went for school. As usual she was late due to the lack of money for taking a mode of transportation.

After a good half an hour of verbal torture from her class teacher, she finally went to sit down at her place. Which was the middle bench right next to her girl classmate who happens to be later than her that day. As usual, her classes were boring because she was not a person fond with education or an academic life. Which was opposite for her bench mate Alice, as she was a prodigy who succeeded in any subject she held her hands and mind on. Alice was a lovely person and would help Lily, her bench mate in her studies and to pass exams and all.

Lily and Alice were not best friends. But they were definitely the only people for both of them whom they thought as their friend in that class. The classroom was not filled with crackhead students who bullied or discriminated others. Lily and Alice just did not want to get along with them or felt the need to make friends out of them.

That school day ended and Lily reached home intaking all the disappointed and worried words about her future from her teachers.

She has been living a life like this quite a long time. No one to talk, no one to love. she did not like it. The feeling how nobody gives a fuck about your existence. It's disgusting!
