author's note . . . welcome to the klaus mikaelson fic that originated as the "mama's boy" edit on tiktok!!! this is, indeed, the unnamed draft finally seeing the light of day. for this fanfic universe there'll be a few changes to canon and a bit of my own spin on lore (for example: delilah was born as a siren and the siren's in here aren't the same as from tvd. i've never watched past s6 of tvd so... whatever happens after klaus leaves mystic falls at the end of s4 simply does not exist for the sake of this fic). also there is no rebekah/marcel.
a head's up: this fic is part of a bigger universe with a few ocs. the two that will be mentioned from the beginning are poppy, aka marcel's eventual li and one of his vampires, and miriam, rebekah's gf!
