Ch. 5: What the hell, Gisele?!

The next morning I wake up feeling like shit. I barely got any sleep last night due to the fact that the man that I wanna be with hates me. I want to be with Julian, but my brother would absolutely lose it on both of us. One thing about Tom is that he holds grudges, and for really long periods of time. One time when I was a kid, I told his girlfriend that Tom still sleeps with his childhood teddy bear, and he still brings it up to this day. I can't imagine what would happen if Tom found out what me and Julian did and that we wanna be together.
That's why today—I'm gonna tell him.

I'm scared to death of him finding out from someone else so I've decided that I will be the one to tell Tom what happened and how I really feel. Well...I might leave out the part about me and Julian's sex-filled summer fling.

I'm meeting Tom for brunch at 10 so I need to start getting ready. The good thing about going to your brother's house is that you don't have to put any effort into your appearance. I throw on a blue patriots quarter zip and some grey Nike joggers with my white air forces. I throw my hair into a messy bun and put on some mascara before heading out of the door. I drive up to Tom's house right on time and walk straight through the door. Gisele and the kids are sitting at the table already.

I walk over to my niece and nephews and give them all big hugs and kisses as they giggle and try to resist. I give Gisele a hug as I walk to an empty chair and sit down.
"Where's Tom?" I ask her.

"He's finishing up a phone call really fast, then he'll join us." She says with her signature smile.

"Okay." I say looking down at my hands beginning to feel nervous. I don't wanna have this conversation with Tom, but I have to.

"Soo," Gisele breaks the silence, "are you finally gonna tell your brother that you wanna be with Jules."

This shocks me to the point that I'm choking on my own spit and coughing like a TB patient. I grab a bottle of water from the kitchen and calm down when Gisele approaches me. Gisele is laughing her ass off like someone just made the joke of the year, while I stand and glare at her.
"How in the hell do you know about that?!" I whisper shout to her.

"Girl I'm not blind. And also Julian told me everything and asked my opinion on what to do back in August."

Really Jules?

"Wait.." I start, "does Tom know??"

"Absolutely not. You know he'd kill you both."

"How should I tell him?"

"I don't know, but you need to soon before it all builds up and gets even worse."

I know she's right, but I don't want him to be mad at either of us.

"What's wrong?" Tom asks as he strides into the kitchen.

"Nothing, just waiting for you babe." Gisele says as she leads him back into the dining room with a wink in my direction.

This is gonna be really hard. I need to show Julian that I'm serious about us, but I don't want it to affect his football career.
Oh my gosh...Julian. I wonder what his test results were.
I go back to work tomorrow, so I'll find out then. Im not gonna text Jules because I don't think he really wants to be hearing from me right now.

I sit back down at the table and eat my brunch while I contemplate my next move.

"So..." Gisele says, "Elle has something she wants to tell you." She says before getting up from the table and taking the babies with her.

What the hell, Gisele??

Tom looks at me suspiciously with a look that says 'spill it or else' .

"Umm, ya..I've been wanting to talk to you about something for a while." I say not meeting his eyes. "I-"

"Stop," he speaks up, "I already know what this is about."

Oh shit. Here we go...

"You do?" I ask shocked.

"Yes. And I wanna tell you that it's okay."

"Really?!" I ask even more shocked.

"Yes. I know that you scratched my car the last time you borrowed it."

Damn it.

"Ohh." I say quietly. I honestly forgot about that. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay." He says as he gets up and moves over to me. "I love you. But no more secrets between us, yeah?"

I don't answer, I just nod my head in agreement. This is gonna be more difficult than I thought. I'm gonna need a new game plan.

And I'm gonna need Julian's help with it.
