Beep! Beep!

I groan as I smack the top of my alarm clock. Today is the first day of school at my second year of high school. I swear summer was just yesterday but here I am getting ready for school. After changing I walk down the stairs to the dining room.

"Hannah! We're having pancakes!" My mom calls out.

"Yum.." I say extremely unenthusiastically.

My mom frowns at my reaction.

"Don't worry mom, Hannah is just grumpy today." Chris / Chan said. "You know she is not a morning person. When have you ever seen her awake before 10?"

I scowl at my laughing brother. "Not funny Chris. REALLY not funny."

I plop down on a seat and dig into the stack of pancakes. It's good but not good enough to make me feel better about school. I hate school. It's not because I don't get the materials, it is also not because I have no friends. Felix is in most of my classes! It's just that I don't understand why we need school. It doesn't even teach us anything. Also I want to be an actor when I grow up. Not solve what X is...

"Hannah if you  don't stop zoning out while you're eating, you're gonna shove it up your nose." Chris commented.

I shove a fork full of pancake into my mouth to prove him wrong. After eating, I take my bag and run out the door.

"Bye mom! Bye  Chris!" I yell as I run out the door.

I spot Felix running out his door. Felix is my best friend. He is literally a ball of sunshine. Everyone says that we're the golden retriever and the black cat duo. I love black and dark clothes while he loves bright blue. Very bright blue. So bright it hurts my eyes...

"Felix!" I yell running up to him.

"Hannah!" Felix yells running up to me.

He's wearing a light blue shirt (Thank the gods) with tiny clouds on them.  Me and Felix walk to school together everyday. We've been doing it for as long as I can remember.

Felix reaches into his backpack and pulls out 2 loaves of bread.

"Want some?" He asks handing me one.

I push it back. "I had a whole stack of pancakes already. If I eat anymore, I might literally explode."

He pouts upset that I didn't take his offer, but in the end, he shoves it back into his backpack while chomping on his bread.

I snicker watching him shove his face full of just plain bread.

"Woah, slow down buddy, you might choke..." I said passing him a bottle of water.

After a good 15 minutes of walking, we arrive at our school entrance. I take out my schedule.

"Oh look! We both have math first..." I groan

"Math can't be that bad. It's only the first day!" Felix reassured.

I sigh. Of course it's all rainbows and unicorns for Felix.

We rush into class and plop into a seat in the middle of the class. As were settling down, I feel a tap on my shoulder.

"That's my seat."
