Note that this is a double update.

Childe didn't know why he felt the need to ask Yuria for her everything after his slip of the mouth either. Perhaps it was the way all the men were staring at her in the street. Or the fact that he caught a glimpse of Yuria and her annoying pretty ex-boyfriend earlier today. Even if their situation was complicated, all Childe really wanted was to be the one she comes home to at the end of the day.

He fell head over heels at first sight. Yuria was so beautiful she literally took his words away. And when he finally managed to tear his eyes away from her face, the temptation of her body called. God, his thoughts revolved around pinning her to the wall and taking her in 101 different ways back then. But the more time he spent with her as a fellow harbinger, the more he realized what a beautiful soul she was: a revolutionary, dreamer, and visionary who just wanted to be loved as herself. Childe never thought he'd be the one asking to label their relationship. But he was pretty sure he was in love with this girl.

Yuria excitedly pulled him by the hand into a dense crowd of people heading toward Amakane island. "It just so happens that there's a fireworks festival tonight! Come on!" She squealed.

Some brute with red horns and his goons bumped into Yuria, causing her to almost lose her balance and fall. Childe grabbed her waist to steady her from falling, and switched places with her.

The red horned brute laughed out loud. "Ahaha, sorry compadre! I didn't mean to bump into  your girlfriend like that."

Childe scowled when the goons turned around toward Yuria's direction, gawking at her beautiful appearance. Although Yuria had reassured him that it was okay, Childe decided to stick his tongue out at the losers when she wasn't paying attention. He heard some commotion from the brute about how no one should look down on the Arataki gang as his goons held him back. Childe scoffed. He could take those noodle arms on in a fight any day.

They finally arrived toward the island. Yuria walked to a vendor selling fox shaped masks and bought two as Childe quietly watched from the sides. She signaled him to lean down with her hands as she got on her tippy toes. Yuria replaced his fatui mask with an Inazuman traditional mask.

"Kitsunes are generally seen as messengers and familiars to the Shinto god of rice and prosperity, so we wear these masks during festivals for good luck." Yuria said as she adjusted the mask on the top of his head.

Childe gestured for the other mask as he put it on her head for her. "Can't you just manifest fox ears instead?" He said jokingly.

Yuria stifled a laugh. "You know, I never thought to ask Shidare that."

Childe decided to lightly flick her forehead. "No talking about other men on our date, sweetheart."

"You're the one who asked!" Yuria complained as she pouted.

The two of them leisurely walked around the festival grounds as they played a few carnival games. Childe himself had a crowd of fangirls gather around him as he kept hitting the bulls eye at the shooting game stall.

Childe gestured toward the prizes as his other hand naturally wrapped around her waist. "Which ones do you want?" He asked her with a dashing smile that made her swoon a little on the inside.

Yuria closely examined the prizes and pointed to a pair of matching omamori. One had maple leaves and the other had cherry blossoms. "These are also supposed to provide good luck. We can have matching ones!" She said as she gave him one.

They walked around as Yuria explained the different types of street foods. Childe was waiting in the line for takoyaki while Yuria momentarily went off to stand in a different line.
